Recent CC apps:
Chase Explorer 9/12
Ink Bold 5/13
Ink Plus 6/13
CSP 6/13
Marriott 9/13
AMEX Merc 7/13
AMEX SPG 6/13
AMEX SPG Biz 9/13

I'll be starting a new business this mth. What are my odds of getting Ink & SPG cards with the new business if I applied in Oct/Nov? Current credit scores 730+, new biz revenue ~$50k.

Thanks!
You shouldn't have a problem applying for a separate card for a new legit business with different EIN. You might want to space your SPG apps, though.

Are you sure about that? AMEX is known for giving Gold and Plat cards to an individual with multiple businesses, and then not giving bonus points on the second account. I think the 'have had this product within the last 12 months' language applies to the applicant, not his or her business.

Thats about 114k in UR points offsetting Ink GC buys at gas stations for free...well except for time/travel
Can you please breakup the math? OM has Visa GCs for $200 each with a fee of $6.95. So, $35 for 1000 GCs (equal to 5,000 URs). For 115,000 URs, you will need $776 in cashback to balance the fees when you purchase from OM. Unless you are buying VRs from gas stations which give you 2x on Ink Card.

question about SW companion pass:

I applied for both personal and biz cards in august, met the spending requirements and plan to do another $6000 in MS to get the companion pass. Now, is the companion pass valid only for last couple of months of this year or for whole 2014 as well

2 BCP cards (Mine & wife's) 6% CB at grocery store up to $6000 each car per year. Total is 12,000 for two cards. $12000 - 6% CB = $720 - AF's = $562 - to use for MS.

$562 is enough to offset costs of 113 GC's at gas stations.

113 GC's at $500 each = (2x UR's with Ink) = 113K UR's (GC's are $4.95 at gas station)

(Sorry was off by 1K)

The above just about covers your 2x spending limit for your Ink card at gas stations.

It will be valid for all of 2014 as well, but you must earn all 110,000 points before the end of the year, so spending for credit card points should be done well in advance of your December statement. Otherwise your last few points will post in 2014 and you won't get the CP

Thanks for the breakup. Which gas station do you still find VRs? I looked at multiple 7-11s close to me. No luck May be I should go far out and check. Or there any other cards at gas stations that are good for MS? TIA

I'm thinking about picking up a few more CC's though probably not a real AoR

I have:
Chase +1 Student (2006) 3.3k CL
Citi Dividend (2008) 10.5k CL
Chase United MPE (Feb 2012) 4.9k CL
AMEX Delta Plat (Mar 2013) 8.2k CL

Credit Sesame 775, Credit Karma 773 / 823 Vantage , AAoC 2y5m

Right now I'm keeping the chase student card for the AAoC, the Citi to maintain the 10.5k CL, and the United because of the travel insurance and it's my only no foreign trans fee card I have. I may drop the delta amex, but it's useful for MQD. I can run about 4k a month in MS/actual and I lack 2k on the amex spend and 5k on the united. That leaves me with about 12k of spend for minimums this year.

I'd like to get 55k united miles or 80k AA/OneWorld soon for a potential first class RT to asia and start working on some free hotel nights. I've got no real business to claim so I can't do anything that requires a tax id.

I'm thinking about the following, though not all at once:
For the United Miles:
Chase United Business 50k
Chase Sapphire Preferred 40k
Amex SPG 25k (I'm an existing amex member so I may only be able to get 10k)
Ink 50k

For the AA/OW miles:
Citi AA Personal 50k
Citi AA Biz? 50k (Tax ID needed?)
CSP 40k to OW

For the hotel, I have no idea which program I should get into, but I'll have crossover status with SPG via Delta. I just priceline bid for whatever when I need a hotel. Any opinions?

I'm looking for a little help/guidance in planning my next 2-3 CC's. I will try to include as many details in this first post as possible, but if you want to know something else, just let me know. I'll be more than happy to get you the information.

Current Goal: Hyatt Points to stay at the Andaz Maui in 2014

--Profile--
Age: 24
Annual Income: Approx $70,000
AAoA: 1 year 11 months
Credit Karma TransUnion: 730
Credit Karma Vantage: 806
Credit Sesame: 744
IdentityGuard Experian: 701
Notes: My scores took a dip in the last 2 months due to shopping around for an AutoLoan and opening another CC

--CC History--
Date, Lendor, Card, CurrentCL
11/2006, Chase, Freedom Mastercard, $4300
5/2013, Discover, it, $6200
11/2012, AMEX, BCE, $16000
3/2013, Chase, Sapphire VS, $5000
6/2013, Chase, Ink Plus, $5000
8/2013, Chase, MileagePlus Explorer VS, $6500

--Cards of Interest--
Chase Sapphire Preferred (can I have both the Preferred and no-fee version?)
Chase Ink Bold
Chase Hyatt (probably a 2014 application so I can use the stay credits in Summer 2014)
Citi Gold/AAdvantage World Mastercard - I have a targetted 50k offer

--Questions--
1) When do you think I could pull off at least some of these apps?
2) I know I'm very "Chase-heavy"... do I have any concerns here?
3) How do my "Cards of Interest" look in terms of acheiving my goal?

Thanks inadvance for the help! I look forward to your input :-)

Yes, you can have both Chase Sapphire ( Fee & No-Fee Version ). You already got 3 Chase cards this year, and all those cards have just start up limit. It may be okay if you consider to apply in Dec 2013 or later but do not apply more than 2 chase cards at that time. Chase considers many things to approve the application, eg: your spending pattern, your business type, etc etc.

does anyone have experience with the US Bank Avianca LifeMiles cards: VIsa Signature and regular visa card?

I'm wondering if you apply for both if you'd get the bonus miles for each.

planning first AoR - seeking help!

About me:
Age: 24
Occupation: currently unemployed, buying and selling concert tickets with savings.
Credit: 774 (Creditkarma)

Current cards:
Chase Freedom (~1 year) $5500 credit line
BoA Rewards (~1 year) $5000 credit line
Chase Sapphire Preffered (~2 weeks) $5000 credit line
I had a BoA credit card for about 6 years to develop my credit prior to 1 year ago.

I'm looking into my first AoR. I don't have any definite travel plans, but I want miles for a couple domestic flights and maybe 1 or 2 international flights in the next year.

Cards I'm considering:
Chase Southwest Premier (50k sign up points)
Chase Ink Bold (a little worried about the 5k spending though)
Chase United Mileage plus (too many Chase cards?)
Citi TY preferred (30k sign up points - the 2x entertainment is appealing as I am buying a few concert tickets. However not sure how I will utilize these points)
Citi AAdvantage (my mom was targeted with 50k sign up bonus, can I use her code? Can I apply for 2 citis in one day?)
Capital OOne Venture (10k sign up, no annual fee).

I want to cut this list down to 3ish. Any recommendations/words of wisdom would be appreciated!

You just got the CSP? I'd wait at least 3 months before applying for another Chase card with your credit profile. What is your income?

I would limit yourself to one card per bank per 3-4 months. Definitely not more than 2.

Do you have specific goals in mind? That will help sharpen the focus of what cards to target. Where do you want to fly?
