Last week I applied for and was approved for both the AE HHonors and the Citi HHonors cards. I gave my Hhonors account number to both places. Hopefully this was the right thing to do!

In a year from now I plan on upgrading to the AE Surpass Card as well as the Citi Hilton Signature Visa card. My question is, when I apply for those, should I use my Hhonors account number again or leave it blank?

I'm not sure if I’m ready to churn the Citi Hhonors card every 91+ days or so. When I feel that I am ready, do I keep putting my actual Hhonors account number on the application or leave it blank?

Right now I haven't set a goal for all the accumulated Hhonors points, but figuring on redeeming AXON or GLON awards possibly in Jamaica or Hawaii in February or March 2014.

I would put it so it links to your HHonors account without any extra work on your side. There shouldn't be any issues since you are applying for the upgraded versions of those cards.

I don't want to derail the OP. But what if you applying for two Citi HHonors cards, do you put the hhonors on both applications?

I did, no issues whatsoever.

I did both (put my existing HH number into two applications, and this was a repeat -- though close to a year since the last pair -- of 50k HHonors Visa apps for me). No issues.
