As an additional resource for these cards see this thread: Alaska Airlines Visa

PERSONAL CARDS
30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...s-credit-card/
+2k miles if done with onboard paper application

30k mile offer with $100 credit and fee for companion ticket waived the first year, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4020594

30k mile offer with $100 credit, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4009277

If you are applying for a personal Alaska card, and are not an expert on applying for Alaska cards STOP, don't apply yet.
Instead, read this post. Doing that first may save you a huge amount of wasted time and frustration.

A few people in the Alaska Airlines forum have in the past received personally targeted, single-use links for a 50k offer
when they opt-in to "Partner Offers" in their Mileage Plan account preferences.

=======================================

BUSINESS CARDS

30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend, no foreign transaction fees:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/smallb...-credit-card//

Note: There are two different earning formats for the business card, which you choose when you apply:
  • $50 per company, $25 per card (Business Level Earning Plan)
    • $0 per company, $75 per card (Individual Level Earning Plan)

To avoid billing confusion later, make sure you choose the Individual Level Earning Plan if you are not going to have employee cards under the same account as your account.

Also see the Applying for Business Credit Cards [Consolidated] thread (not-BofA-specific) for general tips on applying for business cards.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reconsideration # (for personal cards):

1-800-354-0401 (8am-7pm ET Mon-Fri) direct, referring agent from another BofA line called it their "credit department"

1-866-811-4108 from the Alaska Airlines Visa thread post 949

Business card Recon Line:
866-695-6598 (8-7 EST M-F from what I was told)

Biz card status line: 888 663 6262
Biz Card credit analyst line: 877 665 5022, 877 665 5023 (seems to be non-working number)

Check application status online here:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...status-form.go

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Credit Enquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Enquiries for business cards come from FIA. Credit bureaus usually merge enquiries from the same requester made on the same day. Enquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

I am too lazy to call BOA to lower my 15k limit on my personal AS card.
Can I give someone here my info and they call for me?

Sure. PM me your card number, expiry date, CVV #, home zip code, full SSN and mother's maiden name, as well as your desired credit line and I'd be happy to action this for you!

Disclaimer: I cannot be held responsible for anything that happens to your credit profile Also are you under 5/24? If you're over 5/24 don't bother.

But in all seriousness BoA seems to pick up the phone pretty quickly. It's probably a 5 minute call if you have the energy to pick up your cell phone

Data Point -- After several years of successfully getting 2 personal and 1 business card per year, it appears that Bank of America doesn't love me anymore.
Last week I closed the Alaska card that was coming up on annual fee. That left me with 1 personal card and one business card, with 15K limit on each.
Today, I applied for another personal card, and was rejected. Initial response said pending, and when I checked online, it said unable to approve-- letter to follow.

Not sure if BofA is putting an end to this stuff, or if perhaps I didn't wait long enough (though in the past I have had as many as 4 open at once.)

Could be that your limits were too high. This is why it's prudent to lower limits as much as possible before closing the account.

i applied for 2 BOA cards today.

first app is to AS Business 30K. surprisingly, instant approval. i already owned 3 BOA Personal cards and have not yet cancelled them. all cards CL have low CL since I reduced them long ago.

second app is to Asiana Personal 30K. instant denial due to frozen EX. but got approved after recon call when they pull another CB

Haven't signed up for any BOA cards in a year or more, signed up for 30K Alaska and got 24K credit limit, then did 30K Amtrak and was approved for 12K. Would like to do 30K Alaska Business today also, any reason not to? It seems like BOA isn't approving multiple apps lately based on what I've read here, can someone please confirm how to handle. Thanks.

I'm new to the Alaska Program and have a few questions.

I can't remember the last time I had a BOA card and I have never had a BOA Business card so I'm guessing my first application(s) will be hit and miss.

I was going to apply for the personal card with the $100 statement credit, should I apply for the personal first and then the business or the other way around ?

I have well over a million FF miles spread around DL, AA , UA and WN but would like to use the Alaska miles for first class ticket to Hawaii as MSP/ SEA/HNL looks to be the best route for us. It's currently 90K each way.

Any other advice ? We are looking at 2020 so we have plenty of time to get the miles

Personal card IA with $10K CL

Business card needs further review. I figure I'll just wait on the business card and see what happens

Sure is a rip-off.

70K one way CX F US to Asia with one of the best bed in sky in 77W - 14 hours of Real first class travel, with 81" pitch and 36" width.

One can even go further to JNB in one of the best business class seat in sky that also is a flat bed, for another 14 hours of very decent flat bed business class travel, with 81" pitch and 21" width.

Meanwhile the so-called F in domestic mainland to Hawaii is a Recliner seat on a 737-800... with 36" pitch and 21" width... the pitch is even shorter than CX Premium Economy's 38" pitch.

The pitch itself tells you how much recline that these recliners have...

The airlines should really get rid of the F destination on the domestic flights at the front. There is nothing First Class about it.

this.

90K is a definite rip-off. even if you are going from say the most eastern point of US to the most western point of Hawaii.

my MO has always been to just 'suffer' in domestic flights. to me, there is really no difference sitting in Y, F, or C. i suffer either way, worse in 737 of course which is more often than not the case, and starting from the TSA security theatre. none of their so-called F or C really confers an exclusive or luxurious experience, even more apparent once you experience the premium cabins of EU or Asian airlines.

so, never redeem one nor interested in one. only one that remotely perks my interest these days is JetBlue Mint bc OMAAT reviews it favorably and it does look good on pictures.

but then i can say that bc i travel a lot internationally so have abundant opportunities to use miles at usually-better redemption values. not everyone is in the same shoes, so ultimately, your lifestyle choices also impacts how you use your miles

Then don't pay it.............problem solved.

FWIW I made a mistake and was using the 90K I saw on AA, Alaska is 80K OW.

I'm bigger than most ( former competitive bodybuilder who still works out, just not the diet so I'm actually bigger) so even a 2 hour flight is tough for me and I fly SouthWest around the country, ~ 10 hours in coach, no thanks.

Now maybe we can back on topic

Has anyone encountered this before?

When you are approved it says if your CL is above $5K you will get a signature card

Did you get a Platinum card with a $13K limit ?

Similar situation for me (with a FICO score of 800)....did my usual churn...canceled card and later applied for a new one...denied...something is definitely changing with the way B of A is operating with respect to the AS Visa...This is my main airline program and I need my companion certs so I will definitely try again
