2025 Program Update??
I still have not seen anything on Copa's website regarding any Connectmiles program update for the 2025 year other than the fact that the requalification criteria remains the same as 2024.
I am just wondering if the rollover tier miles will still be in effect. I would assume so since it has been for the last several years, but I would still like to know.

Seems to still be the same points as 2024 to qualify
Not seen anything about a rollover unfortunately
However, you can now earn up to 15,000 status miles with spend on your ConnectMiles credit cards! $60,000 in spend would get you the 15,000 status miles ($4 per status mile). This is particularly useful for me! It has already started and I received status miles in Feb for my Jan spend (the promo was only announced on the 30th Jan or so)

When they sent out the email about the credit card spend it also included the following screenshot which states the requirements will be the same:

I am not sure if you read the part of my message when I said that I was aware that the requirements remained the same as before. I was more curious about whether the rollover tier miles will continue as they have had the last few years.

The criteria are the same. This year dont applied rollover in exceeding miles and segments.
the only new is you earn qualify miles with credit card (similar to AA)

They also have not updated fare class mileage earnings on Star Alliance partners.

As I get silver from my credit card as it is does my earnings start at 0 still?
Most of my spend is on amex platinum to get 25k annual bonus.
Copa/Bac was selling gold membership for just under $1000 but the start date would be after two trips I took this summer.
Most of my travel is done using miles so little earning.

Also, to qualify for Silver status, for example , does one need to earn 20k qualifying miles AND earn 20 qualifying segments (of which 4 must be on Copa metal) or either the 20k or 20 segments and at least 4 segments on Copa metal?

Hi @pmarrsouth could you kindly clarify exactly what this means? I'm thinking of getting a card that will give Silver status but unclear if that gives me a quicker path to Gold than someone who has no status?

your qualifying miles and segment starts in 0. for reach gold, need earn every miles and segments like everyone.

What does "all silver benefits" actually mean in practice? 25% bonus on miles flown on Copa metal, greater availability on saver award tickets and extra luggage? Anything else I'm missing in calculating what this benefit might be worth?
Also, any idea on the difficulty level of redeeming the "25% off base fare" for 2 RT tickets? Read it doesn't apply for A or T fares (basic economy) and would HAVE to be for a trip from PTY (country where the connectmiles card would be issued). Am I mistaken? Can I use this to my benefit if I was chasing status. eg. by buying long haul flight in non A/T class to earn qualifying miles and the 4 segments requires on Copa metal?
Appreciate any insights any one here might have on quickest/easiest path to *A Gold (if any) for someone that would effectively be doing mileage runs (and maybe intentionally planning travel on *A for status)

How does a US Citizen get a Copa branded credit card? From looking at their website, it looks like all the options are Latin America based. We travel on Copa and it would be good to gain Silver status based on spend. Anyone have any idea on how to get one if based in the US?

First question, you must call to customer service and tell them to activate you coupon. You must be a credit card member I suppose, therefore customer service will know that. Just do price lock in you reservation, and ask to apply the coupon. Do not pay by phone, they will charge the selling fee.
Second question, there no easy way to get gold. For milage run, with my calculations, the fastest to get gold, will be make the routes:
Any place from USA ---- to Argentina Eze. No Rosario, Cordoba, Salta, Mendoza or Tucumn.
Any Place from USA ---- to Montevideo.
Any place from South America ( Ecuador and Below). Colombia and Venezuela is not included, will not be enough according my calculations. ------- to San Francisco.
- These routes above you must do it two times complete around trip in Business Full. In that way you are getting gold instantly. However, it's expensive.
If you want to do it in Fewer flights. The Absolutely highest earning miles flight in copa, you will only need one complete around trip in Business Full to achieve gold, is The Route Montevideo -- San Francisco. Also you can do Montevideo --- Ezeiza, but will be crazy to do that, is a nonsense going around the continent instead of buying a 40 min flight.
You can also do some routes going around america (the continent) using united routes inside usa and you can get gold in time record. The routes I told were only the ones you can buy in copa airlines site.
