VDB on Copa
Does CM oversell their flights? If so, has anyone been in a VDB situation? What do they offer?

I've flown Copa probably 100 times in the past 5 years, and I can't ever recall hearing an announcement.

I'm guessing that it has something to do with virtually all of their flights being international.

I have never heard of it either on lots of flights through the MGA SJO PTY triangle.

I have never seen it happen either. Most people are connecting in pty and do not want to be delayed.

Not that you can hear anything on the PA anyway mind you.

But by observation I have not seen it vs. standby not boarding when flights are full.
