Copa Lounge Access LAX

Flying business class LAX-PTY later this week. Will I have access to the new star alliance lounge in the TBIT? If not, any other lounges?

Thanks

There is no longer a UC in T6, it closed several months ago. And it's not clear to me whether CM is still there either after UA sold all its T6 gates to AA. This page suggests CM has moved to TBIT: LAX Airlines

In any event, OP will have access to TBIT and the *A lounge regardless whether he's departing from TBIT or T6. Although he would have to clear security twice if CM departures are still from T6.

The map I posted shows Copa as TBIT & T6. Your map shows TBIT. Another reason to avoid LAX IMHO!

lol

Although TBIT is now actually one of the nicer terminals in the country (the rest of the airport, not so much).

Perhaps someone here can update date us as whether CM still uses T6 for LAX departures

Thanks for update. Too bad, that's one dumpy terminal.

Seems that T-6 is still CM departure base. My flight this week is scheduled to depart there..

UA in T-7 and Alaska in T-6 (with Priorty Pass) seem to be the best lounge options to me.

Thanks and Safe Travels

*A in TBIT. 10 minute walk from T6.

I would spend as little time as possible in T6.

I agree with your sentiments about T-6 in general. However the UA Lounge in T-7 is not that bad (the new temporary one) and the Alaska lounge is quite nice albeit small. The *Gold Lounge in TBIT is just fantastic, but its more than just a 10 minute walk. There is no Pre Check at TBIT (and with CM your not available for Pre Check as well) So the line at TBIT TSA to get to the *Gold Lounge, then again at T-6 adds some considerable time. For longer layovers I would totally agree. However, in my opinion its just not worth it if you have the morning departure at 10:30 LAX-PTY.. If there was a way to transfer from TBIT to T-6 in the sterile area that would be much better.. Or am I missing something?? Thanks and Safe Travels

Correct, if you want to stay connected airside, TBIT doesn't work (at least not yet)

In my limited experience, there's not much of a line at TBIT security at that hour, but YMMV.

The TBIT airside connector should (theoretically) be open Q1 of 2016, iirc.

Flying Copa LAX-PTY in business/first in October. What is the lounge access situation? Does that get me access? Thanks!
