When does CO start clearing the standy list?
Trying to find a way onto CO2840 tomorrow from IAH to PNS. The flight currently shows as full on co.com and thus no SDC was offered during OLCI. Is there any benefit to calling tonight and asking to be added to the standby list or do I stand just as good a chance if I wait until I get to the airport (because all standbys are processed based on rank X minutes before departure?)? I'm Silver Elite and traveling on a W fare on CO2280.

Check again. Showing availability right now. Seat map shows all 3 Exit seats available too.

They appear to be selling a single, I need a pair. Sorry for not clarifying in the original message.

Standbys for a sold-out flight aren't cleared until about 10-15 minutes before departure. Actually I just checked and there is 1 seat for sale on 2840 in either Y or B class. All other fare classes show 0 available so still no SDC possibility. The flight may even be slightly overbooked. Remember if you get on the standby list and clear you will be charged for SDC anyway. Good luck.

Are you basing that on the seat map? According to KVS (WorldSpan) and CO.com there is only one seat for sale.

You can still standby, even if there are no seats currently for sale. You still have to pay for it and you won't confirm on the flight likely right up until departure time, but it is possible to get on the list assuming you're within 12 hours of the new departure time. I believe you'll need to call it in as the OLCI system won't handle that transaction.
