Thru security with no ID?
Has anyone ever had to go through security with no ID?
I'm at the farm in TX, and it's looking more certain that my pocket case (Drivers License, one c.c., one debit card, P-Club card, plat card) is lost on the property. All other id is at home in Colorado, where I'm supposed to go Monday AM. No time for FedEx, and nobody to rummage around and find passport or the like anyway.
Any guidance on how to start/do this process? Is it even possible?
Thanks

While I have never done it, I recall reading a couple of stories of people who have. I was able to find one quickly that was published fairly recently

I believe that while signs are posted saying you must have ID, the official policy is that you do not have to have an ID, but you open yourself up to more extensive questioning if you do not. I think you should be able to make it through, but I would give yourself plenty of time. Just thinking in practical terms, I would think they would have to set something up for situations like your own. But practicality and TSA have not always seemed to go hand in hand.

Costco cards work in SFO
On March 25th in the a.m. the woman in front of me didn't have any government issued i.d., though she did have a Costco card with her photo on it. The TSA let her through with minimal fuss.

Please excuse my memory lapse.....I believe that you will be given a major security screening and alot of

at check in. Do you have anything with your name and address on it; mail/magazine/library card/checks? If so bring it with you because it will be further proof of who you are since I see that you are a OP member.
The agent can verify your name and address against your OP account.

Heh, did Costco get a bailout too? I'd understand a GM ID or an AIG ID being considered a government ID, but a Costco card?
Are the SFO folks still "TEAM SFO" contractors?

Yes, I have ample utility bills, other mail, the local checkbook, and even, if I look around tonight, an expired credit card or maybe even some old ff id (like a F9 elite card, which I think I left down here).

May I suggest for the future that you scan the contents of your wallet and passport onto an online password protected account, such as a saved folder on gmail, or flickr, and that way if you lose your wallet, you can access copies of your important documents with an internet connection.
I have done this as well as keeping images of this saved onto my phone, (also password protected).

In January of this year, my wallet was stolen (or maybe I lost it...) in Philadelphia, so I didn't have any ID and had to go through security. I did have a photocopy of my passport, but they didn't really count that as a legit ID.
At security, they asked me to sign my name and just kind of compared it to the signature on my photocopy. Then I had to go through the normal secondary screening/pat down.
