Diverted Flights
Is there any site where you can search why a flight was diverted? I notice CO121 was diverted to Albany today on the way over from BCN.

Sometimes CO.com will show it, but not often. In this particular case I'm almost certain it was due to the weather in the EWR area, some big thunderstorms moving through the region this afternoon.

I have noticed pda.continental.com showing the status from the airports it diverted to. If you click on the "where is this plane coming from" link, it should show the original flight to the diversion point.
This morning, our CHS-IAH 6am flight was diverted to College Station so it should the takeoff and landing from CLL to IAH......
Speaking of diversions, what the heck was goin on this morning in IAH?? Early morning T-storms?

Not to mention, forget about trying to use our pass privileges much any more. It's very frustrating.

I flew out of IAH C this morning. We took off during the rain but about 20 - 30 minutes late. When I went to check in though, all the self service terminals were updating and unavailable, why would they do that on a Tuesday morning??? I had to go to the check-in counter.

Tuesday or Wednesday would be the best day for it, if you're going to do it during the day (that's the part I don't get).

And add to that the fact that CAL senior management insists on staffing the airline (in all departments) at razor-thin levels, thus guaranteeing that when a weather event affects a hub, the situation will be even uglier than necessary.

CO is overstaffed in many depts, that is why there are pilots on furlough and FAs being offered COLAs. Also, does CO not overstaff many of their INTL flights?

Just because CO has an overage of employees doesn't mean they will use them to increase the numbers on duty for a given day, thus the leaves. Bottom line, staffing of planes, gates, counters and the ramp is still at the minimum.

Back on topic... The Aviation Herald shows why they were diverted. However, they might not be posted by the airline immediately. I can't take credit for it, I got it on here a while back from someone else.
