you guys having problems with continental.com?

Can't sign in. I guess I can search my email for confirmations of where I'm supposed to be. ;)

CO 1E Jun 1, 2009 12:37 pm

Yes, I am having that same issue.

dergon darkhelm Jun 1, 2009 12:39 pm

Yes. Can't get in atm

TacaCopaFlyer Jun 1, 2009 12:43 pm

+1

And I thought it was me

Hartmann Jun 1, 2009 12:43 pm

Can't sign in and cannot search flights.

I have put in a couple of reports already. This seems to have started some time last night.

TommyC80 Jun 1, 2009 12:48 pm

I'm not able to get in to co.com either.

However, I am signed up for the preview program and was able to log in to http://preview.continental.com just fine :)

Steph3n Jun 1, 2009 12:55 pm

fozz and I broke it I guess, we were talking about problms with nothing posting for the last week.

Mikey711MN Jun 1, 2009 1:00 pm

Now I'm logged in, but I show 0 miles and no Elite status. At least my reservation for later today is still visible. But something is awry.

aweb Jun 1, 2009 1:04 pm

I show 0 miles and no upcoming flights. I suppose they didn't have a backout plan ready for whatever change they put in that broke it.

deltame Jun 1, 2009 1:05 pm

same problem here

I couldn't log in a number of times then when I did log in the account balance is zero. I wrote to OnePass (using their online form) since I wanted to book a flight online for travel later this month but don't want risk not getting mileage for proper linkage to my account.

NYC1K Jun 1, 2009 1:14 pm

Me Too. I thought they cancelled my One Pass number and I have a reservation I really need to pay for ASAP.

Damn it CAL!! :td: :td:

COFlyerCLE Jun 1, 2009 1:19 pm

I also couldn't get it to recognize the bar code on the PDA check-in this morning... dunno if that's related, but clearly there are some issues.

ab2013 Jun 1, 2009 1:22 pm

I tried to book tickets on CO's website, but it doesn't work at all!!!!!!

It says that the webpage you're trying to reach doesn't exist.

I hope CO's working hard to fix this, or else they'll be cut off from rev for a few days!

dergon darkhelm Jun 1, 2009 1:28 pm

What do you think the revenue cost for CO is in $/min for having the website offline for booking?

SuperG1955 Jun 1, 2009 1:30 pm

I can get to the site but there's no OP information (their system links must be screwed up.

It's probably due to the heavy load of people changing flights fo the 500 mile bonus.

We havent flown CO since 5/14 and those miles posted. I'm certain that posting will resume after our 6/9 flights.

meFIRST Jun 1, 2009 1:33 pm

I need to book a flight and I can't.

I have tried several times.
Very annoying.

I was able to open my account and buy tickets up until 2:30 pm ET.
This is helpful, I'll try it.

Don't worry it'll be up soon. If it is an emergency call and book, maybe a long line, but they'll waive the telephone fee and get you what you need.

njcommodore Jun 1, 2009 1:41 pm

just signed on to the regular co.com site. All my onepass info/summary is there, but the blue filler bar with elite status progression is all empty (it still shows my current EQM/RDM miles correctly).

Can't get into the preview site

brettdogg Jun 1, 2009 1:51 pm

Same thing here - can't log in and requests that I call the OnePass Service Desk  - guess I'll just have to wait it out

Do you know something we don't? The site has been on the fritz since at least 8:30pm CST yesterday, I noticed the inability to book tickets then. This morning I could login to my account until around 9:30am CST.

sdm1130 Jun 1, 2009 2:04 pm

June 1, 2009 - the official birth of continental.bomb!

Steph3n Jun 1, 2009 2:06 pm

I cant check in :(

SJS58 Jun 1, 2009 2:16 pm

I wish I would have checked this thread first today. I bought two tickets from IAH to CLT. I bought mine first and received one confirmation and one itinerary and receipt. I purchased my wife's second (slightly different travel dates) and she received one confirmation and three itinerary's and receipts were generated. I called the elite line and they told me that yes...she had three separate e-tix and they didn't know why.

Not really, sorry if I gave the impression I have some insight. But I have high confidence it will be temporary.
A plug for co.com and their web team....
I use CO.com every day and face very few problems. When I do (when maintenance is necessary, doing whatever web people do) it usually does not last long. Credit cards info gone, passengers list gone, no miles, no status anymore, etc. That usually indicates they are doing a little maintenance.
I've sent list of problem items to continental and always recieve a response. Even a few phone calls to get a better description of what is the issue at hand. No other website, airline or not has treated me this good. I don't believe I am the only one who has experienced good web help from CO.

Currently, as I mentioned I first noticed it at 2:30 pm et, I bought 5-7 tickets today until that point. Thereafter, using preview site I've bought 4 tickets.
Compared to other airline sites (bomb) co.com rocks.
Of course, if I was not able to log in since last night and was unable to buy tickets I'd be upset too:(

I think I send these comments over to the preview.continental.com Comments for Web Product Team as a compliment since it has been awhile since I have complimented them:)

JohnneeO Jun 1, 2009 2:45 pm

Seems to have cleared up

I have been having problems since 1 PM ET. I could not log in, but now I am logged in and ready to conduct my business. All my miles and reservations are intact.

Mikey711MN Jun 1, 2009 2:45 pm

FWIW, Trip Alerts seem to be functioning normally. Just got mine for tonight's flight.

ecq Jun 1, 2009 3:22 pm

you think they'll give us 500 miles for the inconvenience? ;)

FWIW, all working here in UK too (where reservations tool failed as long ago as Saturday a.m. local time). All my details are also intact, and my miles for flights on Thurs 5/28 & Fri 5/29 have posted too ;)

suzanneaustin Jun 1, 2009 4:29 pm

It's down again.

dergon darkhelm Jun 1, 2009 4:38 pm

seems to be working here in the US now for me

rolov Jun 1, 2009 4:39 pm

I got a call from my gf who tried to blame me for her access to CO.com, she thought I changed her password

bdraco Jun 1, 2009 4:57 pm

I keep getting Gateway Timeout

The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server.

The co.com UK site has suddenly defaulted to the US site, so will not accept non-US date formats.

However, I see it's offering flghts to NYC @ from $64, which from here is pretty damn good, so had better get going and book loads..:D

SeamusSA Jun 1, 2009 6:14 pm

That was then this is now

Had major problems with the site last night but just checked and though a bit slow to load after sign in it seems to be functional now

ab2013 Jun 1, 2009 10:18 pm

It STILL isn't working!!!

I tried to book a flight on the US site, but after entering the info on the home page and clicking "search," the same error message appeared again saying that the web page I was reaching for does not exist.

This must seriously be hampering CO's revenue ... this is the 2nd day ... coming 3rd!!!

Is anyone having the same problem as I am or should I throw my computer out the window right now?

LAXPlat Jun 2, 2009 12:16 am

search problems

Over the past few days, I have been searching itineraries and using the fare calendar, only to have the blue interstitial screen appear (for much longer than it normally does), and then the site returns a blank screen saying "file not found."

galeaoguy Jun 2, 2009 4:46 am

still getting responses like this when searching for a few days at the end of Nov. I am a little flexible on dates, but I'll need a Tues, Wed, or Thurs (Thanksgiving day) departure, which is my norm....

plenty of time to wait for this to clear up... I just saw this as being little odd. Thankfully my 3 trips between now and then are all intact, and they all depart on a Thursday...

Continental or its partners offers service between Boston, MA (BOS) and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (GIG) on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays. Please modify your search criteria or use the chart below to select alternate dates.

iahphx Jun 2, 2009 8:50 am

Sorry you guys are still having problems. I've been re-united with my rezzies, so I'm happy for the moment. Probably best to avoid the website as much as possible for the next couple of days. Now I just have to hope I'm able to check in. :)
