yup..still not working. Trying to make some reservations from PHL. (domestic and international)...nothing seems to go through.
Wonder if we will get charged 25$ if I call and make the reservations (since the website is not working).

ecq Jun 2, 2009 9:52 am

I'm trying to book flights and I can't log on.

Looks like orbitz.com is my next stop.

timbre Jun 2, 2009 10:22 am

It sure would be nice if they would post something on the website telling people that they are working on it. I still cannot get in.

+1. Haven't been able to make reservations since Saturday, and now cannot log in (although was able to yesterday and during the weekend), so things seem to have got worse today..

I guess the IT guys are working on it, though! ;)

I have had no problems since this post yesterday. I am using Firefox 3.0.1.1. Perhaps this is a browser issue? Anyone using Google Chrome, or MSIE?

nzqjyb Jun 2, 2009 11:10 am

down again..... ...?

Called on yesterday and they said, "Oh yeah down, try later".

Today more descriptive message at failed login:

"! Sign-In functionality is unavailable at this time. Please try again later."

UA eliminates the 24 hr hold option in the same week that the CO website starts acting more like .bomb than .com

Coincidence?

It's broken for Chrome and IE too.

Hartmann Jun 2, 2009 11:24 am

The website is broken in IE, Firefox, Chrome, Camino and Safari for me... I think they are doing maintenance on accounts, not the entire site.

Shoes99 Jun 2, 2009 11:27 am

still down using user name logon, but able to access itinerary if I put in the itinerary# and last name via AOL browser.

Why would they be doing any maintenance on a weekday, and during the day for that matter? This is really beyond me - they should have a totally redudant mirrored site hosting older code they can switch to immediately when these issues get reported. As soon as the first tickets were reported, the web admins should have verified the problem and switched to the older-code mirrored site immediately before troubleshooting the problem site.

They seem to have a very bad habit of rolling out new code updates in the middle of the day and during the workweek, when this stuff should be done at 3am on Saturday morning.

To be essentially down for almost two full days is totally 100% inexcusable. Anything beyond 60 minutes is really inexcusable for a company of this size.

I think the code was rolled out over the weekend and something changed on the server.

The server was back up late yesterday and earlier today, but then the accounts went kaput again.

I agree with your assessment on their rollouts though, they seem to be either poorly time or poorly tested, or both.

milesmilesmiles Jun 2, 2009 12:02 pm

I am now able to view account information

although it is slooooooooooow.

i agree. just like some cs reps, they don't care.

COFreqFlyer Jun 2, 2009 12:03 pm

Fire EDS and bring IT back in-house at coair.com. :D^

quantumslip Jun 2, 2009 12:23 pm

it works again. they also lowered SFO prices by 40 (7/2-7/6) so I jumped on. For some reason when I went into edit traveler (I wanted to see if they took full middle names for a new traveler, though I was getting the ticket just for myself) I got an error. I started over, booked it, and to my horror got 3 sets of confirmation numbers under manage reservations! Luckily a call to the elite desk got the other two canceled.

comfortablynumb Jun 2, 2009 12:36 pm

I had been having same problems past couple of days.

This AM I was able to check in for IAH-SEA-YEG (24 hr window) with absolutely no problems ! ^

baglady Jun 2, 2009 12:42 pm

I booked a ticket for Plus1 and it said it couldn't log him (was logging in as him) in, then showed me as logged in, then morphed into him. (I was not open in another window at this point). Booked his ticket after many errors and all CC info being gone (in addition to all of his personal info being gone i.e. name, phone #, CO FF# etc). Called Co.com to finish res after many errors and voila, it booked - 2 confirmation #s. Seat assignments gone as well. I have 10 additional tickets to book but there is no way I'm doing it until co.com is fixed. My patience level just isn't that good.

bajrbajr Jun 2, 2009 12:51 pm

The webpage cannot be found

I have no problem logging & viewing all my acct info...

But when searching for flights and prices any search that uses "Search for Lower Fares +/- 3 Days" and/or "Search Nearby Airports", returns the error "The webpage cannot be found"

this has been going on for about 3 days. I'm using IE.

CO.com has had a lot of these technical issues lately.

texas gold Jun 2, 2009 1:35 pm

co.com is still down for me over here in AMS. I have been trying to give CO some of my money and well......everytime I plug in the dates I get the same error on my Mac that the page does not exist, or there is an error.

I am using Safari on a Mac.

plj496 Jun 2, 2009 2:11 pm

I am also surprised that this outage of Continental.com has been going on so long.
I logged a ticket (via continental.com web-form) on 30-May around 10PM.
I was trying to research B-fares to HKG. I have been receiving (variously) 'File not found', 'Gateway timed out', and just plain old 404 errors since that time.
(In addition to times when I just cannot logon to my OnePass username...)

The response to my ticket was that I should call 800-300-1547 to book my travel.

One (somewhat) interesting thing I noted was that at some point there is a long timeout while my browser is trying to access a site named 'p-as01.estara.com' . This site never responds, and I was thinking "hmm estara, E-Star Alliance, hmm"... but then I visited estara.com and saw that it concerns the 'click-to-call / click-to-chat' application.

AustinWeatherGuy Jun 2, 2009 2:18 pm

Me, too...

Try to log in.. either it will not accept my OP#/password.. or when it does, I have 0 miles and no reservations!
Come on CO IT.. let's get it going!! I'm trying to GIVE you money!!

kenp2153 Jun 2, 2009 2:22 pm

It's been down again for me...it kept on failing and then I got logged in again, picked my flights and then dropped me out at the last minute. Very annoying trying to finalise some flights tonight too When I went back to it, all my details had disappeared, including my Travel Club amounts and my flights that I have for the future.

milesmilesmiles Jun 2, 2009 2:28 pm

Spoke too soon...

Why do I feel like we are calling Kazoo?

channa Jun 2, 2009 2:47 pm

Will they give 100% EQM and waive fees to those who book on the phone during this outage?

Ditto here! Frustrating. Now I've tried several times I'm probably locked out as well :(

Facevalue Jun 2, 2009 3:00 pm

The OnePass agent told me they are being flooded with customer calls; yet no e-mails or info from IT.

AustinWeatherGuy Jun 2, 2009 3:01 pm

Come on, Channa!!! You're asking for WAY too much!!!:p

MIA-SAT Jun 2, 2009 3:07 pm

Not that the geographic location of login matters, but I have been trying to make a reservation on Co.com from Brazil and it is a no go. (I get lots of ads in Portuguese on FT, however when I login.)

ab2013 Jun 2, 2009 3:11 pm

STILL not working, same error message as 2 days ago.

HookTheBrotherUp Jun 2, 2009 3:38 pm

Started Sunday?

I began experiencing problems since Sunday afternoon; I even had to call the 1-800 line to cancel some reservations that were on hold. I thought I just had a disgruntled employee, judging by her tone, but now I see she must have been inundated with calls.

Like most, I lacked about 13K miles to get Plat, and so I made a few reservations until I chose the one that worked best. I suspect many people were in the system doing the same. I finally found a routing to my liking, but then could not apply a credit (Flight Change link), and so I had to call the 1-800 number again and was connected to a woman with a great attitude that helped me out.

Another weird thing I noticed... if I did a fare search via the calendar, it always priced out differently than the regular Continental Reservation search, yet the dates, class, flights, etc. were exact to the dot. Wonder what was going on there? It was lower using the fare calendar, BTW.
