CLE Updates
Just a quick summary of the upgrades to the hublette:
1) The exit to Terminal C is closed temporarily while the flooring is replaced.
2) The leftmost side of C security checkpoint is also closed for the same reason.
3) CO, CLE and TSA are working to make sure checkpoint delays are alleviated or minimized, though it might not hurt to arrive a couple minutes earlier than normal. As one might expect, the checkpoints at A & B will receive diversions from C.
4) Rebranding and restaffing has occurred at many of the food and retail venues since the change of operators (now BAA Cleveland instead of Host).
5) A ton of additional improvement work is underway, most noticeably in the shopping area and along the first part of C.
6) The valet service seems to be doing well & now offers a car wash.
7) The LONG overdue cell phone lot is in the planning and approval stages.

You should not notice much if you do not leave the terminal, though from what I have experienced so far BAA has done a good job improving the food service experience.

Glad I saw this, I'm out on the 8:30a to IAH in the morning. I'll try to get there a bit earlier accordingly.

I know you were just in Vegas and still recovering, but I didn't know that CLE was female.

Hublet, The: Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Cleveland is known to be the smallest of the three domestic hubs behind IAH and EWR. The term "hublet" has been in popular use on FT since Do IV, when it was used in jest to describe CLE by CO's EWR station manager during a panel discussion.

Just came through this PM and found the egress from C closed. Glad I didn't have to post this since MBM3 already did it for me. Will see how they are progressing Sat since I will be going to IAH and beyond early (5:50 AM flight). If there is any other fools around at that hour, PM me and I can let you sleep in the PC.

I just came through B, mainly because that's the checkpoint to which I was closest. When I saw the C lines, they looked just about normal, that is, average line length.
Nothing else outwardly messy either... I have an hour to kill here in the PC.

Hi,
Thanks for the update MBM3.
I treid to go through Checkpoint C at 2PM yesterday, 15 in both lines, since February I find the elite line useless, ymmv. As i did twice last month and yesterday I headed to the B checkpoint where I was whisked through in a matter of minutes.
One question on the remodel, what happened to "InmotionPictures"? Will they be coming back? I liked the service and used it frequently. I called them and they actually didn't seem to know that it had closed.
