Good question. I would imagine something similar will pop back up after they finish the remodel of the big store.

C security was up and running this morning with the new flooring installed. Much better than that nasty grey carpet!
And, even better, the Elite Line was actually a dedicated entry rather than being dumped together in one entry point. ^^
The exit to C is still closed while they finish the renovation.

That was actually remarkably quick.
Now if only BAA could hire some of them to complete the shop/restaurant makeover?
What in bloody h*ll is taking so long to finish?

I noticed the C terminal exit was closed, thanks for the news of what was happening.
I also noticed TSA ripped out the Analogix cat scan machine, that didn't require removing laptops or liquids. This machine has seemingly been out of commission and the Federal Security Director for CLE advised it's test was over, and it would not remain. Hopefully CLE is one of the first on the list to test the x-ray software upgrades that will also not require removing liquids and laptops on the current x-ray belts.
I find they stick the TSA newbies at B checkpoint, and compounded by the first time WN fliers, I tend to avoid B. Checkpoint A usually doesn't offer much time savings if they're only running one machine.
With the BAA shuffle I was hoping Banjo's would relocate to the low numbered C gates, but no luck.
I'm mixed on talk of a cellphone waiting area. While it will open more capacity for the parking garage immediately connected to the terminal, I'm afraid they're just moving the problem of congestion elsewhere.
As for flight reductions, it pained me on my last trips to send revenue to competitors, especially with Double EQMs at stake. Cities such as AUS, OMA and GRB.
The one on ones with JS and LK at DOIV offered a very bleak outlook for CO at CLE. I doubt we'll see the miracle needed to keep CO healthy in Cleveland.

Have they finished screwing with C security yet?
I've had luck, even when not flying on CO, blowing thru with my CO creds on the elite line, and I've got a UA flight out on Friday. I fear the B checkpoint on holiday weekends...
