If I may...

I think the reason that the regular CO flyers are finding it more difficult to get EUA's is because of the huge defection from other carriers to CO.

I myself defected and status-matched from US, and I know of many US elites who did the same.

Considering what is going on with DL and NW, I know a lot of their elites have also jumped over to CO.

The elite pool has just become more diluted...

I fully agree with you. I think I picked the wrong time to switch. But, I wasn't going to requalify for 1K anyway this year. So, no loss. Trying a new airline is always good. However, I'll have to seriously reconsider my options next year.
