The DO IV Countdown

The DO is less than 2 Weeks away. Flights and hotels have been booked , deals have been made for EUA's and who knows what else.
CO Currency Coupons are ready to be used on flights all over the CO system until the drink carts are empty.
There are 500 + CO Onepass members ready to take IAH by storm and make this the greatest DO cigarman and CO have ever put together.
People have shared their DO stories from the past and everything is ready.
The only problem is that everyone attending is in the dark about the details of this upcoming
"Fun and Games Edition " DO
There is no chatter, no leaked information , What is brewing ?

We already have a thread with serious questions that we want answered.
The most famous one being " When will I be able to credit and redeem miles on Star Alliance Flights ? " (Thanks to J.Edward for keeping a list )

Now we want the buzz, the scoop , the 411 , and the stuff TMZ talks about :

Do I need to bring a costume ?
Is Ryan Seacrest going to host the Red Carpet ?
Are we going to play : Who Wants to be a Onepass Millionaire or Onepass Deal or NO Deal or Onepass Gladiators ?
Who will be the host , Regis or William Shatner ?
Is there going to be a plane pull or a feats of strengths competition ?
Is there a hangar involved ?
What is the mystery tour ?
Will there be a karaoke machine ?
Who will fly the simulator ?
Are the new BF seats going to make a cameo ?

Let the countdown begin .....

Some information is starting to surface :

"You will receive your tour selections (which were keeping secret, as usual) with your registration packet. If youre unhappy with your tour selection, youre welcome to trade with someone else. All tours will pick up from the event hotels (Doubletree, Sheraton and Marriott IAH). Your tour tickets will include specific hotel pick-up times "

I think this New Hanger is the one without the doors (I went to an event there last April and there were no doors then)? Scott can you confirm this? If so you may want to bring a coat.

That is a good call, I guess we need to keep an eye on the weather forecast for next weekend .

Current long range forecast is no rain with a high in the mid 60s and lows around 40. That is, of course, subject to massive change in the next ten days.

One of rolov's questions has an answer. Cigarman did say at one point that the new seats were out being tested.

From the email:

Friday Night Welcome

You and your registered guests (if applicable) are invited to join us for a welcome reception, which will be in the grand ballroom of the Marriott IAH on Friday night. Doors and registration open at 6:30pm. Please dress casual and comfortable. If you’re flying into IAH that evening or parking there, the Marriott IAH is connected to the terminal via the Inter-Terminal Train, located on the lower level below baggage claim. For those of you needing a ride, courtesy busses will run continuously between the Doubletree, Sheraton and the Marriott IAH from 5pm until 12:15am.

Saturday Morning Tours

You will receive your tour selections (which we’re keeping secret, as usual) with your registration packet. If you’re unhappy with your tour selection, you’re welcome to trade with someone else. All tours will pick up from the event hotels (Doubletree, Sheraton and Marriott IAH). Your tour tickets will include specific hotel pick-up times. Most tours will depart at 8:30am or later, except for the first Flight Simulator tour groups, which has to depart at the painful-but-worth-it hour of 7:15am and the first Mystery Tour group, which will depart at 7:30am. The only way to access each tour is via the courtesy busses provided – so don’t be late! Also, these tours all involve a fair amount of walking. It’s highly recommended to dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes. Also worth noting, all tours will include an assortment of light refreshments and snacks.

Saturday Afternoon Q&A Sessions @ the Marriott Greenspoint

The Q&A sessions will be held at the Marriott Greenspoint, which is approximately 15 minutes from the airport (and is not the same as the Marriott IAH). Your panel assignments and tickets will be included in your registration packet.

For those of you driving, the hotel is located on 255 N Sam Houston Pkwy East. For those of you needing a ride, courtesy busses will run continuously between the event hotels (Doubletree, Sheraton and Marriott IAH) and the Marriott Greenspoint starting at 1pm. Below is the schedule for the Q&A sessions:

All Sessions, Round 1:
2:00pm – 2:45pm

Refreshment Break:
2:45pm – 3:00pm

All Sessions, Round 2:
3:00pm – 3:45pm

Refreshment Break:
3:45pm – 4:00pm

Q&A with Larry Kellner (Chairman & CEO) & Jeff Smisek (President):
4:00pm – 5:00pm

Following the Q&A sessions, courtesy busses will run continuously from the Marriott Greenspoint to the Doubletree, Sheraton and Marriott IAH until 6:15pm. For those of you wanting to change before the Fun & Games Hangar Event, there should be plenty of time to do so.

Saturday Evening Fun & Games Hangar Event
The Saturday evening hangar event will be held at Continental’s newest hangar, Hangar B, at Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport. Doors will open at 7pm. Dress code is business casual, but feel free to take it up a notch.

A program of events will be provided that evening, but for now, we’re keeping the details to ourselves!

For those of you driving, the address is 4725 Wright Road. For those of you needing a ride, courtesy busses will run continuously between the event hotels (Doubletree, Sheraton and Marriott IAH) and Hangar B from 5:30pm until 12:30am.

Vegetarian?
We will have vegetarian selections both at the Friday night reception and the Saturday night hangar event.

Also of note is the fact that CO is having the breakouts away from the airport. I wonder if they are trying to include all the hotels that they use for issues to get more brownie points. This would be another reason to make sure to plan out night wear before breakouts as the time will be short inbetween events most likely.

On flights with many FTers there are some negotiations going on to trade EUAs for drink coupons and exit row seating in the back.

I still don't see on the schedule where the tug races are scheduled.
