No Option to Split PNR?

Hi,

I'm travelling with a non-status companion on an otherwise EUA-eligible flight. In the past, I've booked together to simplify the seat selection process, and then been given an option in MMB to split the PNR (and then the EUA setting toggle appears). I'm in this reservation, it's been ticketed, it clearly recognizes my status, but doesn't give me the option to split. Of course, I can call, but does anyone have an explanation for why it might be happening (or what I might be doing incorrectly).

The option to split records is still available. When on the "View Current Reservation" screen look for the "Separate Traveler(s)" link underneath each person's name and information.

When doing this, does it matter if you click the separate link for yourself or the companion?

I don't think so, as it then lists all people on the record and asks you which you want to separate.
