Higher Status -- Refresh Reservations
When you achieve a higher level of elite status on CO, is it necessary to update your existing reservations in some way to refresh the elite status reflected with them (for a better shot at upgrades, etc.)? Years ago on UA, I recall that this was needed. Thanks.

No, it is no longer necessary. I just went from silver to gold and on my next trip (booked prior to making gold) I got upgraded three days out.

If you are already elite it should not be necessary for EUA but is necessary for at-the-gate wait lists. If you were not elite and qualify for the first time it is necessary for both.

Thanks for the responses. If I am reading COInsider's message correctly, the issues with status not updating should be fixed by now. Perhaps he can confirm?

Hi sbm12, we're almost there, but we're still working on one last issue with our kiosk and online check-in front-ends recognizing the status change when a customer goes from basic to Silver status. This should be working properly before the end of the year.

Thanks for the update on the efforts. It is good to know that the CO crew continues to work towards streamlining things and making them work more smoothly.
