moving between bf and coach cabins

Planning a flight to TXL - with BF tickets pretty cheap at the dates I want to travel (1300$), I'd rather be in A cabin. My girlfriend already has her tickets, in coach. We are returning on different dates.

On outbound flight, though, I'd rather be in coach hanging out with her - would FAs be annoyed at me moving between cabins?

I expect the flight to be empty-ish (traveling 12/25), so I do expect seats available in coach to sit next to her.

A BF passenger going to the main cabin is absolutely fine. A main cabin passenger coming up to BF frequently (if at all, except when passengers are switching seats which is allowed once per flight) would probably be frowned upon by the crew, and definitely not allowed on the way back into the USA.

You wont get the promotional BF fare if you split into half coach and half BF - at least that has been my observation - will work out more expensive.

Yep, exactly. And coach both ways on days that I need is almost as much as BF - around 1100$. (Much cheaper for ,y gf, since she is returning later in January).

And if for some wierd reason Y is full I am sure the person sitting next to her will be happy to trade seats with you

Didn't Elaine try this on Seinfeld once? I think that she tried to sneak (the other way from the OP) into FC on an overnight flight like twice and was run back into Y. CLASSIC!

Yes she did as Jerry sat next to a blonde and had a sundae. Of course Elaine was trying to poach into FC.

I read several months ago on FT (perhaps UA or LH forum?), someone observed a lady slip into the business class cabin, nap in the comfortable seat, then wake up and return to her economy seat! Art imitating life, or vice versa?

Most of the times R fares do combine with economy fares.

yeah but in this case with r/t in R being 1300 and r/t in Y it does not make too much since to split it up. Should net over 10,000eqms for this trip.
