I am leaving tomorrow on miles tickets and cannot check-in online. Is this unusual? I don't want to get bumped

Continental.com has been having issues, this may be the cause of the problem. What kind of error message are you getting?

We are unable to complete the check-in process at this time. Please proceed to the airport for assistance.

This generally happens when the reservation is not "synched" with the e-ticket. That can happen if a human modified the res, and didn't re-synch it. The whole e-ticket thing was a patch to a system that hadn't heard of e-tickets from what I've been told.

A simple call to the elite line or e-desk can solve the problem, then you can check in.

You are a genius skyyguy. I called and she implied that the computer went "tilt" and that she needed to synchronize.

Thanks all.
