IAD has table service, as well. I agree that the food served in the Clubhouses (and especially the LHR Clubhouse) is far superior to anything served onboard.

This has probably been flogged to death but I'm still a little confused.
! Flight CO8229 does not offer BusinessFirst or First Class between seats between London, England (LHR - Heathrow) to New York, NY (JFK).
Flight CO8229 in the London, England (LHR - Heathrow) to New York, NY (JFK) market is in economy class.
Continental flight 8229 operated by Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Either an all CO BF or an all VS upperclass RT for my date can be had for approx. $2500 but for mixed CO and VS flights (even code shares) the price soars or I get the message above. Is there a way to book a CO/BF + VS/UC RT without thousands in additional cost?

CO8245
Fare Class: Economy (R)
For some reason it displays economy when in fact it is a Z class ticket on VS UC - (I got the VS CFM code and went on VS.com to confirm this and
to select seats.)
You should be able to book it over the phone if there is R inventory available.

This has probably been flogged to death but I'm still a little confused.
1)Please confirm that it is possible to now book Upper Class Seats on VS.
2)If there are VS seats available that are not CO codeshare inventory seats, is it sometimes possible to book by phone, or is what's online what you get.
3)I was hoping to use miles to book an upperclass reward for my wife and pay for a seat for myself. There's also a possibility that it would be CO BF one way and VS upperclass the other. When I try to price these seats, I get the follow message regarding the VS seats:

2) The trip I booked is mixed on CO codeshares (US-LHR-US) and VS numbers (further from LHR), and neither of these appeared available on CO.com. They were available on the VS website (with miles) and I called the elite line to book without an issue. Last summer I was actually booked on a CO codeshare for US-LHR, and with a VS number for LHR-US. All that supports that you CAN get more by calling than what is available online.
3) I cannot help with this one...

Is it possible to purchase a Premium Economy (or just Economy) seat on VS and upgrade to UC with OnePass miles? I believe the only partners you can upgrade on are Copa, NW & KLM? I'm thinking of leaving NW before Delta takes complete control and this would be a significant deciding factor.
