Y-UP Seating Question

This is my first time buying a Y-UP fare. I booked EWR-LAX on 3/30, returning 4/2. My fare class now shows as First (AU), but I am unable to select seats for either segment. The seat map for the EWR-LAX First Class Cabin is completely grey-ed out. On the return, seats are selectable but will not save when I select them. Should I call CO?

You'll get seats at the airport. The outbound is likely just a function of a seat blocked for airport assignment, which is typical. I don't know about the return.

If you really want a seat assignment before OLCI you can call, but you will have a seat when the plane departs.

You likely have a "confirmed" seat in the bulkhead. I have had those before and when I called CO Elite line they confirmed my seat as 1B, but said that since they keep the bulkheads "blocked" for special needs pax "just in case" they are needed...so if a handicapped pax came on board in FC you'd have to switch seats with them, but of course, you'd still be in FC.

As stated above you have a F seat. You'll be able to select a seat at OLCI if more than one is available. Otherwise, you'll get whatever is available on OLCI.
