Post Email received today from CO re ST Elite status on BP

Hi,

I thought I'd share this. I sent CO an email asking whether my ST Elite status would show on my boarding cards (it's confirmed on my PNR but I haven't received my ST-E card yet). This was part of the reply:

"I checked with our Electronic Support Desk, and there is some question as to whether your Elite status will print out on your boarding pass. Recently, there has been a computer glitch that has removed everyone's Elite status from the boarding passes (including Continental Elite members)."

So:
1. FYI. @:-)
2. Has anybody had any problems with this recently?

I had no problem, this past weekend, with my boarding passes showing my status.

In December my wife's BP did not indicate her Silver status.

The only issue I've heard of previously about status on boarding passes was with regard to reward tix, where it wasn't showing for the person who redeemed the points. I haven't heard of other issues with partners (OP is AZ elite), though clearly OPSC has. I'd have thought that there would be more reports of issues here if EliteAccess wasn't showing on BPs lately.

My boarding passes from last weekend, like always, displayed my SkyTeam Elite Plus status. Underneath my name and date, they say: "NW-xxxxxxxxx Platinum / ST2."

If you qualified as a Sky Team elite after your booked your reservation, you might want to go online at www.continental.com/ and delete and re-enter your frequent flyer number. But otherwise, I can't imagine that your status would be omitted from your boarding pass.

In my case on a recent reward redemption for two tickets (neither was a CO elite), the elite status only showed on the first person's boarding pass.

CO and KL had some issues relating to system recognition of Elite status last spring and summer. I don't know if it was ever fully rectified.

I have had 6 flights in the past 3 weeks with no issues. You can print out temporary card from the CO web site if you are worried.
