Seats and upgrades on 1 flight number but 2 planes
How do you handle seat selection on a multi-leg flight, e.g., CO47 - AMS to LAX via IAH. There is a plane change in IAH, and I'm never able to choose my seats on the IAH-LAX segment because the online tool seems to think this is one flight.
Similarly, I never get upgraded on the IAH-LAX segment - even though I request it through the OLCI and I think I should be upgraded based on my experience with this flight.
Thanks!

You basically need to book it as two segments rather than a single flight. You're also missing a number of miles from that flight.

Thanks, that was easy. I re-booked as separate flights and chose my seats. Hopefully, the upgrade now also clears...

same thing happens with CO41 - FCO-SFO.
I read this thread too late.
should have separated the flights.
