RNE...could you have possibly been confused by seeing AF508 come up as a bookable ticket on continental.com and make the assumption that it was a codeshare?

I have searched Amadeus and various other sources and see no reference to any CO flight numbers that have a destination or origin of CAI.

BTW - the JFK-CAI DL flight has been on sale for a few months now. I believe that it commences on June 4th.

Yes, I think so. I might have been using the codeshare term incorrectly. Anyway, the point I was trying to make is that, previously, one could not book a flight to CAI on CO.com. Now one can. Whether this is a big deal or not, I don't know. But it is to me.

I must say I'm getting rather dour toward CO for their 3-3 and 3-3-3 seating, especially now that they are going to ruin all the good Boeing is doing with their 787 by having 3-3-3 seating. Even a high-ceiling, humid, oxygen-plentiful sardine can is still a sardine can! If CO flew to CAI, I'd opt for a DL 767.

AZ flies to CAI from MXP and FCO; KL from AMS; AF from CDG.

AZ actually has two flights a day from both MXP and FCO, IIRC. Of course, some of them have those odd 2 am departure times you see to and from Egypt, but what can you do?

That being said, I would connect through MXP over CDG any day. Even though I am not an AZ fan, I have warmed to MXP. And while the AZ planes may be shabby and feature surly FA's, at least the seats are roomy - the middle seats on the A320s must be at least 20" across!
