VDB - rules?

keep in mind that usually they wont process the VDBs till the flight door is actually closed and the flight is offically then gone.I usually hang near the Gate area desk, so if they had to go on board to ask for any Vol , Ill know that (very rare for them to do so). I will make it my biz to ask what it took to get them off. it happened twice, once the person answered sorry but I promised the GA its between me and them. The other ocassion they told me , I simply then asked the GA if the offer was increased and they wispered, if I will wait till the end they will match it but I needed to wait and not say anything.
But usually just by hanging near the Gate desk you will hear if the offer has been increased and to what amount.
