Yes, it is huge (probably 2.5 feet in length) They are really expensive on the Pac-Min affiliated websites.

:D

Like others have said, there are plenty of people here (me!) who would gladly take it off your hands for the sake of the marriage ;) :p

For those of you who won the larger (bulkier) items, please bear with us while we finalize the logistics for shipping. It may be another week before we have everything worked out, but we will be in touch before the items ship.

Our DO III silent auction raised more than $7,500 for our WeCare employee assistance fund. Thank you again!

Scott - thanks for the update. It is nice to hear that we were able to give back to a program that helps the people that help us get where we are going. THis is a number we should work to beat next year!

It was a beautiful piece. Thanks for the update and sorry I wasn't there to compete with you for it! Well done. Are there any clues to the artist or manufacturer, as I'd like to see what else they've done?

I'll check it again, but there was no obvious signature or manufacturer's ID. I'm guessing it was a donation from an artistic employee to raise "We Care" funds.

Scott, could you share more about the WeCare program and what our funds do there?

Glad you asked, Weatherboy. The WeCare Fund is a financial assistance program that helps Continental Airlines employees and their families by granting financial assistance. These funds are used to pay for basic necessities such as rent, clothing, medicine and food, during unexpected emergencies such as floods, fires and personal illness. WeCare traces its roots back to early 1984, when a group of our Accounting employees began to salvage and sell computer paper with proceeds dedicated to the department's holiday party. When one of the employees in the department became ill and couldn't buy food for her two small children, the party money was loaned to her. As the funds grew, the employees became aware of other assistance needs and WeCare was born.

All WeCare cases are submitted in confidence and reviewed by our WeCare volunteer board of directors. Last year, WeCare donated $811,210 to 437 Continental employees.

Wow... that is a great program for your employees! I've heard of WeCare before, but never really knew what it did. Thanks for sharing the details Scott!

Got my bar cart!

Picked it up yesterday at Chelsea Kitchens behind LAX. Wow, that was a place I'd never been before! I've lived in LA my whole life and had no idea you could drive into the back of the airport right from the beach access road. Crazy.

it's SO much bigger in real life than it looks on the plane. it will make an awesome summer BBQ deck cart for drinks ;)

I picked up my Bar Cart yesterday also, at LGS SkyChefs in TPA. It weighs about 90 pds. It is well-used.

Huh, I missed that portion of the description. The ones on display at the DO looked either new or if refurbished, were in super condition.
