Find a wife who will appreciate it?
I'd really push for it at home....wife, roommate, or parents--why wouldn't they just accept it knowing it was a gift/prize from CO?

How was the raffle ticket distributed? Did not get one during entrance - did you get one when you bought into the gambling?

I got one for winning $4k in Blackjack.

My brother won $0 in blackjack but got 6 raffle tickets.

I guess getting the ticket itself was a bit of a gamble :)

I haven't heard a peep from CO about my beverage cart yet either. Nicksterguy states the same via email about his cart. Safe assumption now that they haven't dealt with them yet.

I still don't understand why they just didn't load it on my flight to DTW Sunday morning. Would have been fun rolling that through the terminal, to the parking lot shuttle, and into my car :D. Think of the savings on the shipping!

I was hoping to win and pick mine up at EWR and take the AirTrain home  Alas, I wasn't in the fray at the end and chose to not dive in and try to wrestle a clipboard from anyone so I lost out on it.

Stained Glass $120

I'm also interested to hear about the tail fin in stained glass. I put in a bid for it but had to catch my flight before the end of the show.

I successfully bid for 1. 12x10 Continental Stain Glass. $120. They sent it FedEx. Unfortunately it arrived with 2 cracked pieces of glass.

Since I don't think CO could easily replace it, and since I'm not a whiner, I have hung it up in my office's north-facing window, anyway. It is beautiful.

It was a beautiful piece. Thanks for the update and sorry I wasn't there to compete with you for it! Well done. Are there any clues to the artist or manufacturer, as I'd like to see what else they've done?

I really liked the stained glass. It was a beautiful piece!

Well, if the wife won't let you have it, I'm sure there are plenty of people here (myself included) who would be happy to relieve you of that 787... for the sake of your marriage!

They called me the week after the DO and asked for my full home address. Not because they wanted to ship it to me, but because they needed it for "records". She said they would send it to LAX and call me to come get it. I asked when, and she said, "soon." Haven't heard anything else since.

My dad got the seats and lives in Houston and has not heard anything yet. i would assume with the carts and the seats that they are items that the person in charge of the auction didn't have in their office and thus they have to be located and the logistics worked out as far as cargoing them to their final destination.

OPFlyer Oct 7, 2007 8:33 am

How much did the seats go for?

Scott6067 Oct 7, 2007 8:50 am

$1075 I believe.....

Scott - Could we found out how much total was raised for the Employee Charity?

I think next year, if they have the auction, that they should do a dollar and a milage auction.
