Quote: I can't imagine a bigger waste of money than the Co Presidential Card, YMMV.
Wasn't worth it for me, either.

cabiners, the crips and the kids
I have noticed a lot in the last few weeks, with more kids travelling due to the summer months, that many gate agents are boarding children and passengers requiring assistance before anyone else, including FC. Has anyone else noticed this?

It's the norm in many stations

My point exactly

And how about all the F/A gear in the front overheads

Maybe this should be another thread

Quote: If you were going to buy the Pres Club membership anyways, and you don't use the features of the more expensive Amex Platinum it isn't a bad deal.

You're basically paying for the Pres Club membership, plus $85 for the Mastercard which gives you one pass miles on all purchases (the regular CO MC is $85 / year anyways). Plus they give you 2k flex EQMs for every 25k you charge. And they give you President's Circle with Avis, which gets you upgraded 2 classes every time. And I'm sure they will add some other features here and there to try to win over the AMEX plat guys.

So, it's worth it for me.
Its $375 for the Presidents Plus Card, right?. The exact same as for a Presidents Club Membership? But without an initiation fee.

So if you wanted a club membership and aren't an elite already, your getting a CC that earns miles and elite access for free.

I'm thinking of "gifting" one of these to my Dad so that when he visits the grandkids, he can check-in, board, and perhaps go through security easer. And use the lounge while waiting for his flights and connections.

If I remember the "invite" correctly, the card works just for the PC. It's not a PC membership, so no NW WC, DL CRC, etc.

Anyone know for sure?

It works at ALL locations that presidents club card works at. Once you recieve the presidential plus card, within 2-3 weeks they mail you a presidents club card as well.
