Looks like the Red Bull Air Race is coming to NYC June 19/20. This is definately worth a mini-do but could easily get out of hand and turn into a mega do. RDU got about 7" of the white stuff last night, turned to sleet with some freezing rain about 4am and is still coming down. Roads are turning into a skating rink have plans to go to a concert tonight, was hoping they'd cancel\reschedule but alas this is the message on the their website "The show must go on! The PineCone Winter Music Festival will proceed as scheduled. Please drive carefully, and leave yourselves extra time to arrive. Safe travels! " of course the head of the highway patrol and the Governor are urging people not to drive unless absolutely necessary is a concert that I've already paid for absolutely necessary? it's about a 30 mile drive? I drive an Acura RSX with with mainly summer type tires |

Yep. I flew from HNL-ANC-LGW-(CDG)-LGW-ANC-HNL on that trip, on Western Airlines (the only way to fly). It was a new route for them and the flight attendants were very senior, as in one foot in the grave senior.
