I've flown WN - I have a flight scheduled on them 8 February as well.

WN doesn't bother me because I set my expectations correctly. Part of WN's culture is to under promise and over deliver. Find me an originating flight and put me on a BS fare so I can get 1D and I'm good to go.

As an FYI for those who have SkyTeam USA accounts to potentially "household" - they are offering a 50% bonus on transfers now. If you've been looking to clear out multiple accounts within the family to end up with a premium class award ...

Just confirmed that the Conde Nast article is, in fact, out there right now. I'm supposed to be stopping by to meet the author for a quick beer and pick up a copy tonight. :D

Cool!! I hope to find a copy in town. I think I may be in there as well! :)

I'm OK flying WN but don't pay for early boarding - I just wanted to use cheaply-acquired credits / VDB funds to get non-stop HOU-BNA on the 8th. My non-stop IAH-BNA option involves the swear-word "ERJ".

I don't think that they are on the newsstands yet. These copies were acquired direct from the publisher's office in NYC.

After racquetball I will have marinated pork chops, even down to orange zest (and yes, the oranges came from a Hyatt Place).

Another reason to avoid WN

At least your bags will be "luved" and they fly for free.

WN has mishandled my bags the last two times I checked them. On non-stop flights.

Luved them so much they wanted to spend more time with them.

In other news, I'm munching on a bag of Planters. I normally don't eat peanuts, not even when flying. Must be the  at work today getting to me.

Now I'm really off to play some racquetball.

What exactly were you expecting that you didn't get? I guess I'm jaded by life long Y travel.;):p

I applied for it...the  is more of I need to start doing prepwork for it now - initial interview is on Thursday. I feel really confident about my stuff and have been prepping for this possibility for the past 2-3 weeks, but once there's a hard date/time, it's a different feeling.

Really hope I get it - it'd be a step towards where I'd like to be eventually and the job sounds a lot nicer than the role I'm currently in (which is way too structured/regimented/execution-type stuff for my liking - the new role would be more of a planning position).

None in the local Borders and B&N today when I stopped in.

I did manage to snag the last two 12-packs of Pepsi throwback at Target though :D
