I did have to grind up some of the smaller bits of Pyrex in the garbage disposal today ...

I bet that eats blades.

Actually, the actual JazzFest is pretty tame and a ton of fun for music and culture lovers. Laid back enough that a lot of families make it a tradition.

I am with you on Mardis Gras....

It is a must do. The hardest thing is prepaying for the hotel rooms, but the rest just works its way out.

Already had a sink full of water before removing the plug. And the garbage disposal has pretty good power ...

Crawfish is good, fresh water shrimp :) I don't really suck the heads unless it has been cooked a long time in a soup and got lots of seasoning

Then again, I read that some people go into the nicer chinese restaurants and order tempura shrimp heads.

After watching Survivor tonight I am laying off of seafood for a bit.

When I went with some friends, all the hardcore fun was in the Quarter in little clubs right off Decatur St. You're right about the JazzFest itself....our time at the racetrack was very musically satisfying but not crazy.

Many hotels will black out those dates simply becuase of the overwhelming demand. I am not saying it can not happen, just do not be surprised if they say that it is not possible.
