The only reason I do not is that I would get sucked into the whole competition and it would detract from other tasks that I have to perform in the near future.

Wow. I honestly expected more from WE-DON'T-CARE. I guess their reputation is well deserved.
My note to them: Message: I feel compelled to share with CO my experience on flight 3348 on 4/7. I found the flight attendants working this flight be be highly unprofessional. They were rude, condescending, loud, obnoxious and not performing the basic functions of their job. As my frequent flier account indicates, I travel often (and never complain) and I was honestly worried for my safety, in the hands of this crew. If I could have deplaned in DCA as we waited in the Penalty Box, I would have. If you require more specific feedback, I will be happy to provide it. Thank you for your time. Flight Number: 3348 Flight Date: 4/7/2009 Dear Mr.: Thank you for your email. I value your business and hope you will not judge us based solely on the behavior of the employee you encountered. This experience is not typical of the level of service we expect from our co-workers. Your comments will be included in a monthly Customer Care report that is distributed to our In-Flight management for internal review. I am confident that necessary corrections will be made. Thank you, for letting us know and for helping us serve you better. We will continue to work hard to ensure your future trips on Continental are satisfactory in every respect. Regards, |

 to KL's IAH lounge matrons.
Just got here (lounge is quite nice...veggies, hot food, soup, etc.) and spent a good 10 minutes arguing with the lounge matrons. Due to my "residency" in Europe :o I never have my Plat card, which is required to access partner lounges as a SkyTeam elite plus. However, as I'm also tickted in J for an international flight on a SkyTeam partner, I do not need to use my SkyTeam credentials to gain admittance; the fact that I'm on a J ticket is enough. Anyawys KL lounge matrons:  .Edward:You need to go to the CO lounge or have your CO Plat card. "All international First and Business Class passengers traveling on a same-day international flight operated by a SkyTeam Member have access to our exclusive lounge facilities." per the SkyTeam website. Lounge Martons::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: .Edward:<calls boss> Ok, you're right. Enjoy the lounge. then decided to txt other FT'ers to crash the joint! <evil grin!> |

In a bit of randomness, from the upgrade list for flight 1829 for tonight:
Code:
POO, M. 1ASo, I went to SFO to drop the pos rental they gave me, a Pontiac Solstice. (It's no wonder the American car makers are failing). I just had enough and wanted a different car. So, Avis gives me a nice new Altima with 61 miles. Now, keep in mind I picked this car up at SFO. The car had AZ plates on it. Last I checked, AZ is more than 61 miles from SFO. |

Have I shared with the Box my college dream job? I wanted to be the guy who picked the music for movie soundtracks. Not a composer actually making music, but the guy who picked other band's music for the movie. I also wished that there was a market for music videos in the classical world - I made up elaborate stories, complete with details about specific shots and camera angles, for all sorts of symphonies and major instrumental works that I would listen to or play (and I still do!) My best friend from grad school and I still dream about quitting our "respectable" conducting jobs and running off to L.A. to write and produce wildly successful pop songs for the Mariah/Christina/Faith set... |
