So not including MD, TN, and VA (I've resided in those three) I would say AK, MI, MN, and UT.

In general, I don't see much worth visiting in the southeast (personal preference).

I haven't made it up to AK yet - you give me even more to look forward to!

I hurt from laughing too much. Was a long wait for dinner seating so took my son to the bar to eat. He does stand up comedy and all the customers were giving him ample opportunity for new material.:D

SkyTeam USA 3714 - keeps going from 0 to 1.

So my friend is at this writers symposium till end of July. One of the people there with her is a M.A.G. (mildly attractive ginger). Alas the M.A.G. has a B.I.A.S. (boyfriend in another state). This B.I.A.S. while problematic is not a deal breaker.

It maybe a hot July in sunny Seattle.

We decided to order food. Then, once we realized the delivery charge was too expensive relative to what we were ordering, we went and picked it up.

We had to deal with people but saved about $15. We bought a bunch of Mexican food and decided to graze throughout the evening. ^

Avis this morning (well after 0100, all counters were supposed to be closed at BOI) gave me a brand-new Hyundai Sonata. Roomy, XM, power, and apparently gets 35 mpg. Very impressed.

Avis gave us a Nissan Altima last week. We were very . (They tried to give us an Impala and we refused; apparently my father-in-law drove them in the '60s and '70s and it brought back unpleasant memories for my wife.)

Where are you staying in SF? I've been staying at either the Grand or the Regency on recent trips to SF because the LM has been absurdly expensive. Grand > Regency.

My great-grandmother was born in the UP, and one of these days I'm going to make a trip there just to look around and imagine life there 140 years ago.

At the Grand this time. There were no "approved" hotels (including LM) that were under the SF approved cap. I found the Hyatt and forced the corporate travel website to accept a "non-approved" hotel.

I'm feeling the need for an AC trip tomorrow. I have a stack of comps so spending some time on the beach should be a very cheap day.:D
