Back during the spring, we got some nice rains and nearly three feet of clover covered the back yard. Fun times mowing that. Now it's all dead, covered in burrs, and the grass is slowly trying to fight its way back in.

Are they going to force people to get the new plates, even though they may have gotten new (old) plates a few months sooner? My cousin was worried, because they just received new plates.

I should mention that lunch was at a friends house where I poured the wine and found out the glasses she used held a half bottle each:D:D

Does any one want to clean my house?

I need to decide on a workout vs. a nap vs. posting here. Somehow after the festivities from the conference, I may opt for the workout.

Speaking of burrs, I had to clean them off the d:rolleyes:g. It was the worst I've ever seen. He must've purposefully rolled in them. Mrs. Mackie and I had to get entirely too close to his business end for our comfort.

My guess is that until you need new ones you will probably keep the pretty blue/white ones. But since it just cost my son $80 to renew his drivers license:mad::mad::mad: who knows?

I have been strongly considering it but with the expenditures to cover Mrs. Mackie staying in CLL three nights per week, I'm reticent to spend the money. Besides, our yard is not that large.

Hartmann has seen my yard. There isn't much of one. My HOA fees cover the landscapers. Even if I had to mow, it would take me literally 2 minutes with a weed whacker.:D

Ours takes about a half hour to 45 minutes, depending on how much  there is with weeds and whatnot that are tough to catch. It's not nearly as bad as my parent's one acre yard.

I had heard/read they wanted people to get new plates whether they needed them or not because the state needs more $$.

Wait... $80?!?!?! Holy $h!t!!! That is a ripoff, big time. In Texas, it's $24-$25 or so... in that range.

I've had a lot of experience getting them out of Collie fur. That is quite a project for sure:eek:

Any state that can charge $1200 for insurance without collision and a 3 year safe driving record probably can charge $80 for a license renewal.

California wanted $425 to register my truck for a year. So glad I left that state.
