I *heart* AMEX.

As do I. Now that I've learned to not sink Membership Rewards points into gift cards at horrific redemption ratios, I feel like I'm just creating another method of earning CO miles. There's really no other option that is realistic for me as a charge card holder that doesn't spend for business. At one point I was up around 180K in MR points and I wanted to use them for a Sea Pines golf weekend in South Carolina. Ended up buying a TaylorMade driver and a printer.

I sure know what a change in marital bliss can do to financial planning. I would have owned my house free-and-clear in my 40's and was doing 3 major trips a year on a really modest income. Life would be excellent if lawyers weren't required.

I asked the OPSC rep how many calls she takes from cranky Pres. Plus cardholders and she said "All day."

I'm glad to hear that. Just today I applied for the Chase CO World MC - (just for the Mileathon credit). I opted for this because the cost of the PP card was far more than I would pay for the 3 year PC membership, and I get almost all of the other benefits being Plat.

But it is good to know they are treating you right. I had a bad Chase/BP experience - so I'm giving it another go with the CO card.

Why though?

Because they thought they were entitled to fly the plane?

You are young:D. Picnic's at Hook Mtn were the place to go on hot summer nights when you had no AC at home. Only thing washing up on the shore was really cool smooth broken glass and lots of eels would be slithering on the river path. There were also lots of small sand crabs in the beach area. Although it never seemed tempting to swim in it.

A bomb went off next to a local office there and people were posting live on the intranet. Sounds like a pretty scary place!

Well, my dad was a macro-economic forecaster, & I majored in Economics in college, am a CFP -- so it's in the blood!:D

Since I only heard of the estranged daughter's little "blessing" via my older daughter I've pretty much decided when I receive the news to say "Oh, you too?" ;);););)
