Hey
Finally getting to go to someplace good. Off to SF tomorrow for a weekend of work. Beats the heck out of the week after, which is in sunny Amarillo. I'll ask about Amarillo next week.
In SF only for 48 hours, much will be spent inside but I will do something at night.

Nice to get out of the regular routine, eh?!^

I love my dentist (a family friend), but needing to go back so many times to work on the same problem would drive me bonkers!:rolleyes:

Wow, Box.

Exactly one week later, I'm caught up.

I promise not to multi-quote EVERYTHING but there will be a bit of that. In the next post, though. ;)

Weekend in BOS with 100 kids was pretty stellar, considering the circumstances. It rained a little, we didn't lose anyone, everyone apparently had a fantastic time. I've been told that this was one of the most "epic" school trips any of them have ever taken. :p And we basically stole the show at the music competition that was the reason for this trip - probably about 800 kids there, at least 8-10 schools (choir, orchestra, band, etc.) and we won the overall choral trophy for highest aggregate ratings/scores, several other 1st places/gold ratings, a couple soloist awards, and the HUGE trophy for highest-placing overall school (choral and instrumental). That thing must have been over 4 feet tall. :p Lots of superlative praise from the judges, who are all three senior/emeritus faculty at fairly big-name university music departments. I was VERY proud. :D

Still feel like I'm catching up on my sleep though...

I'll tell you. Trenton twice, Shreveport, Cape Giradeau, etc. etc. After a while they just start to blend together as little towns in middle America.

Ditto. I'm sure they eff up plenty of them but they got mine right on both accounts I opened last fall.

I know. :D

I am glad I called. I thought I could just use the phone in HKG without an issue. I did not know Verizon locks the sim card on their phones.

Do you know if they'll still honor old tickets without charging you a fare difference on board? If so, I will definitely be stocking up too!!

Seems like a good vacation experience to me! :D

^ Have fun!! I'd love to do a trip like that sometime.

Alas, my only visit to PDX so far was around 10-11 pm. I was mostly just concerned about staying awake long enough to get on my redeye...

I used to get it ALL the time when I was about 16-18 years old, weirdly enough. And this was pre-9/11 (after which I actually STOPPED getting pulled aside for secondary).

3P is good for something. :p I can select E+ at booking, get my BP, and then switch to my CO number at the gate.

Wow. New word in the house. My fiancee watching maltipoo videos and oohing and aahing has been called 'puppy porn'.

Thanks. Fail doesn't cover it. Lou Lamoriello threw a glass jar of grape jelly against a wall the other day. When Yoda gets that pissed, you know the offseason is going to get real ugly.
