Hey
Finally getting to go to someplace good. Off to SF tomorrow for a weekend of work. Beats the heck out of the week after, which is in sunny Amarillo. I'll ask about Amarillo next week. In SF only for 48 hours, much will be spent inside but I will do something at night. |

Wow, Box.
Exactly one week later, I'm caught up. I promise not to multi-quote EVERYTHING but there will be a bit of that. In the next post, though. ;) Weekend in BOS with 100 kids was pretty stellar, considering the circumstances. It rained a little, we didn't lose anyone, everyone apparently had a fantastic time. I've been told that this was one of the most "epic" school trips any of them have ever taken. :p And we basically stole the show at the music competition that was the reason for this trip - probably about 800 kids there, at least 8-10 schools (choir, orchestra, band, etc.) and we won the overall choral trophy for highest aggregate ratings/scores, several other 1st places/gold ratings, a couple soloist awards, and the HUGE trophy for highest-placing overall school (choral and instrumental). That thing must have been over 4 feet tall. :p Lots of superlative praise from the judges, who are all three senior/emeritus faculty at fairly big-name university music departments. I was VERY proud. :D Still feel like I'm catching up on my sleep though... |

I am glad I called. I thought I could just use the phone in HKG without an issue. I did not know Verizon locks the sim card on their phones. |
