Not to say I like Huggins. I dislike Cal more (he's up in Coach K territory in my world).

It's always something expensive. Late last year it was the car needing work done because things wore out. This year it was the tree just when I was starting to rebound and now I'm doing the game of balancing paycheck deposit to paying bills for another couple of weeks.

From just a pure coaching rating (and this is just IMHO):

Coach K
Coach HuggyBear
Coach Cal

I do respect Coach K's coaching ability. Huggins has that coaching gene too, but he's let outside things affect him. Coach Cal... I'll stop there...

Notice I said "Elite Eight" rather than "Final Four". His first two teams made it to the Final Four (but had those games vacated) and I presumed the UK loss (which has now come to fruition).

I think Cal does more with less than Huggy - the former tends to have one mega-star and a moderate supporting cast. Problem seems to derive from mega-star (see Camby, Marcus and Rose, Derrick).

Somewhere I read that ESPN was banking on being able to promote CT / TN, but Brittney Griner had a whole lot to say about that...
