I guess I'll see whether the points post or not on Monday and then will buy either 1,000 or 5,000 (there's a 30% bonus currently, so that would net me 6,500). The latter would cost $137.50 but that's still quite a lot less than $216, and they take "up to 72 hours to post" so at the very worst, we're talking Thursday, and hopefully I can book something at the last minute. I could have done this whole thing way better, but at least I guess I learned quite a bit about the Amtrak option in this part of the country, which was probably useful information to pick up at some point. It's probably time to start drinking. :rolleyes: |
