Good luck! Fingers & toes crossed.@:-)

OK - all submitted.

My bracket was pretty awesome in 2006* but seems to have gotten worse every year after that...

* = at that point, I had just gotten into LSU and figured I HAD to pick them to get to the Final Four, you know, for sentimental reasons... :)

I'm in. If I don't come in last, it won't be for lack of trying. I am the Jim Cramer of picking NCAA brackets.

Good afternoon Box from San Francisco financial district.

Are you at the LM? It's been too expensive the last several times I've been there (ended up at the Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt).

Good afternoon box! I am here to report that the old saying is true: You get what you pay for.

On my $2.12 vacation to Freeport Bahamas, I think I overpaid by about $1. :p

The hotel where we stayed, the Island Palm Resort, was mediocre at best. Opsprof and I had each booked separately in order to each take advantage of the $400 coupon on Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel, we told them we had two separate rooms booked and already paid for, but we'd like to share a single room. We asked if we could trade in our two rooms for one better room, like a suite. The desk clerk was happy to accomodate this request, and while the hotel does not have suites, they put us in a room with a kitchenette -- great for me since I love to buy a few items at the local grocery and keep 'em in the fridge. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and range.

Upon arrival in our room, we noticed there was no fridge. We alerted the staff who said they will have one delivered, but it would be the following day since the maintenance staff was gone. We did finally get the fridge the following NIGHT. About 24 hours after checking in

Fridge didn't work. no big deal because it was missing all the shelves, smelled bad and had plenty of dead bugs inside. We opted for the ice bucket instead, and kept yogurt and milk for coffee chilled in there, and in the kitchen sink.

Purchased some coffee at a local grocery store. Guess what? coffee maker doesn't work. they did sent one up within 30 minutes when we called on that.

Digital alarm clock/radio. Doesn't work. Runs fast. When we checked in the room the time was wrong, so I reset it. In the morning we woke up at about 7:30. Clock says it's after 11:00.

This hotel had just re-opened for the season after being closed for a few months. The room had a fine layer of dirty dust over everything. Walking on the floor in bare feet from the bed to the bathroom built up a 1/2 layer of dirt on soles of feet.

Anyhoo, we didn't spend much time there. Spent most time at Port Lucaya, which is the shopping/partying area with shops and bars. If anyone from here is going on this trip, you've got to head over to Rum Runners bar at Port Lucaya. They know how to make drinks. They pour 'em heavy. MMMMmmm!!

Ohhhh, I almost forgot! Opsprof and I took a VDB on our MIA-FPT AAirplane flight at 3:45 that confirmed us on a 6:10 flight. The 3:45 flight was delayed until 4:15, 4:45, 5:15, then finally 6:00 pm. We stood in the boarding line, till the end, got our bump vouchers, then proceed to board our 6:10 flight that got in right behind the original flight! ^ :D Now I've got $250 to use on AAnother AAirline...

For $2.12 I wasn't expecting the Four Seasons :p I didn't get all bent out of shape about the mishaps at the hotel, and ended up having a pretty good time overall. Relaxed, layed on the beach, drank. For a net cost of -$247.88. Not bad at all

Does sound like a good deal but I have learned a kitchen in the Carribbean is a bug magnet! Although the biggest roaches I've ever seen (and where I work we used to have the large economy size) was in a really posh place in Kauai. I love the bump vouchers to top off your score!

Today's moment of zen. Though, it really has nothing to do with US, I do like that it ties into US.

Summary

Pilot strays from wife with a FA. FA's ex threatens to spill to pilot's wife (now soon to be ex). Pilot and FA explain to ex that slience is golden. PHX DA is now explaining the meaning of "felony assault and battery" to said pilot and FA.

Thanks.

I eventually got it to work by trying a different browser. Apparently that site thought that IE 8 on Windows 7 was a mobile device and kept redirecting me to their mobile site.

June 12 weekend will be our first attempt to get most of the picture taking taken, one way or another.

The world cup will have to take priority, I can't miss that for the photoshoot
