Replace it, although I'll be the first to admit I'm a phone whore. Who else do you know who has switched smart phones four times since October 2008, and in each case, replaced a phone that was perfectly usable, with something newer (and sold the "old" one on eBay)?

My personal opinion is that the 8830 is woefully outdated at this point. I have one. My employer-issued BlackBerry is that model. It was great, when it was the latest and greatest device, back in like 2006. If you want to stick with BlackBerry, the newer ones are far better devices, and BlackBerry OS 5 is a major step up over the 8830's software. You'll also find much faster processors, more memory, and an enormously better screen on the new BlackBerries.

But, with six months left until an upgrade, you'll pay a lot more for a device now than you will in six months. And, six months from now, there will likely be new devices on the market that we don't know about now, and what's the latest and greatest today will be available for pretty cheap upgrade pricing. So, the smart financial decision is to wait until you can do the upgrade. But then, the last time I bought a phone when I was eligible for a full upgrade was in 2006 (6 phones ago).

Definitely feeling like a 'mom' tonight! Son has a few kids over -- 'pre-Spring Fling' get together -- lucky me!;)

One mom (of one of two frosh girls) wanted to make sure that I - 'parent' -- was indeed home!^ I really can't blame her -- two many 'unsupervised' parties go on -- in this town!

Yes they are. That's the only place in the world I've ever seen those things too.

mmm amtrak has a no fee credit card.

It is mostly useful for providing you with the ability to move AGR points to CO. I keep pondering getting that credit card but don't want to screw up my credit rating.

You are welcome to drive down to Philly and help me saw off the broken branches on our trees (snapped under the weight of the snow).

I built mine using my outlook calendar, which for some reason only goes back as far as December 2005. It didn't occur to me to use expense reports. This can be a new project.

Glad to hear that! I was a little worried when you first got it.

10+ days in, and I still love my Nexus One. I really think this may be a device I keep for a couple of years. Well worth every penny I spent on it.

Oh darn, your ground is certain to be too mushy for me to consider it. I have plenty of my own to deal with once the ground firms up again (either dries out or freezes)

Probably. I'm on the schedule for tomorrow and for next week, but those shifts appear to be INP. I need to find the rhythm at the other place and then look for something else part-time.

I barely could handle the Dumbo ride at Disneyland. I told my daughter (she was around 6) that if she touched the knob to make Dumbo fly up and down I was going to throw her from the ride.

She loves the scary rides and my son hates them. Guess which kid I like better? :D

Nice. I wish CopaConnection would ride coasters, but she has a very fragile equilibrium. I learned that early on, and I reinforced by driving down Lombard Street a little faster than is recommended. She scares easy and I don't; part of why I love her. :D

so sad. Was denied a ride in F on teh 777 to dfw because they could not guarantee me a ride back up to SEA. At least they didn't cancel teh direct flight..... yet... :D

Hrm, The Amtrak Lounge in ORD(downtown) also has the plastic automated toilet seat covers, is it some city mandate?
