Quick box catch-up...
My condolences to both of you, Plus1 and Baglady. Observation of the day... Don't massively sprain your ankle while carrying a chainsaw. Now that you've got the worst possible mind picture....... No, there was no blood. I had control of the saw and got it shut off and on the ground before I fell to the ground separately. Likely heading to the hospital in the morning... crutches are going to make travelling difficult. :( Good night, box. |

Sorry for your loss. I'm guessing she lived a very long life. She even was able to see her great grandchild.^
My grandmother died at 99. I would be so lucky to live as long as her. She was 91 and had a great life. She has declined the past few months, but not enough to stop her from telling me great things like "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot was I thinking when I voted for x or y"; "Danactive works and you should drink it every day"; or telling me tales from her earlier days as a real estate agent to the stars. She only wore Ferragamos, hated cillantro and she died knowing the love of an amazing man for many years; even though they were never married. I told my sil and niece that she was a great role model for us ladies. Plus1 and I may not live as long as she; but she solidified that you have to live each day to the fullest. |

She lived to see 4 great grandchildren! Amazingly enough, she has a grandchild younger than her youngest gg (that'd be BL JR)

The Billecart will stand up longer than the Cristal which seems to get more and more acidic as you get to the second and third bottles. :D I vote for the Billecourt Salmon. |

My condolences to you, and thanks for sharing some touching details. It's amazing how much we can learn if we only ask and listen to our old folks. I try to find out something new everytime I chat with the only grandma I have left, because I know our time together is precious.

But we could hear Emrick and know what was happening as it was happening since when the battery on his phone was about to go, he moved the broadcast right over to his +1's phone and never missed a beat. |

I was guilty of that once. Back in college, I was heading into the discussion section for one of my physics classes. The TA's sitting in front of the room, a quiet-looking Asian guy. He's got his name on the board, and it's something traditional Asian - he hasn't got an English first name he goes by like a lot of folks I'd known from China. So, I'm thinking to myself that he's going to have a horrible accent.
Bell rings. First words out of his mouth? "Howdy, ya'll". :-: Turned out he grew up in Atlanta. |
