Some of my most rewarding FF rentals have also been at LAS (e.g. "10,049 miles per day").

Wow - cool!^

I am pretty sure my days there will be firm -- nice for a corporate trip,m although that is too long for a Vegas trip IMHO. I will use Amex FHR again to get the better rate and additional goodies. ^

I think I'm staying just three or four nights - the first three are in a free suite with food, beverage, and some free play so I can probably afford a fourth night somewhere.*

* LAS is a decent place for many of the BRG programs of chain hotels, including one that's good for earning BD miles.

My trip is an expense account trip. I am working on a lead from last year's conference that could net the bank $100 million in investment assets, which will make the expense account a little better. ^
