I was brought onto a slow-pitch team one year specifically to play third and to be a bat (season after my last year of college baseball). Often had a beer in foul territory, as the captain owned the propane dealership and took care of all the BBQ supplies ^

When does the curling start!

Curling is done until tomorrow. Canada Men's Hockey team is taking out their frustration on Germany on CNBC.

Has it otherwise survived its "shake-down cruise"?

I wonder if Brodeur starting every other game is a message that he is capable of receiving.

I'm looking forward to the Box trivia DO!

Last time I played softball I was so drunk I got thrown out of the game for fighting with the ump. We had to play a guy with a broken ankle - injury suffered during the game - in right field to still field a team and lose with dignity rather than forfeit.

icurhere2, is Northouse's Introduction to Leadership a solid pick for re-teaching myself how to have people under me again?

Please tell me he'd been drinking too so he didn't feel the pain being up on the ankle. Ouch!

Pick a seat that isn't completely terrible. Ask in the RCC and, if necessary, at the gate, "if there is a better seat available, maybe something closer to the front." Don't say E+. Don't demand.

Right now we have ok seats on the 777 and 767. Window and aisle. I will try at the RCC in SFO once we arrive there since were flying CO for the first segment and already in E+.

$436 is the lowest I've gotten it on CO metal. I've seen $431 on AC metal but without the Elite RDM bonus (hard to know if that is being credited just by mistake or what is really going on there) the $5 is worth it for the ~8,000 miles.

$430ish is not bad. If this was about $100 cheaper, I would jump on it.

Sorry to hear that. Now I don't feel as bad about being indecisive for the trip on the Tuesday.

There's no way to push back the start date two days? It is pre-arranged travel.

At my new gig, they let me take time off after three days to go to a family gathering.

I sat and thought about it over dinner with teh other half, and we both came to the conclusion that the job is too good and too important. It sucks to potentially lose those fares, but it's also early in the year.
