Dear CO Forum,

Hi there; I'm adelauro. Given that it's so early in the Elite year, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that I might be the first OnePass member to be anointed by the hand of a good and just Smisekian God a Presidential Platinum Elite Member. I don't intend to brag or anything, but I thought I'd put it out there that all those disgruntled Infinite Elites who thought that getting advanced to CO Plat for life was a raw deal now have someone ahead of you on the EUA list. The day that you fear has come, and you are no longer the king of the hill or the top of the list or A number one. Hopefully your therapist or life coach has been consoling your bruised sense of self-entitlement and your delusions of grandeur. If you wish, I will post my travel schedule so you can make a conscious choice in flight planning and avoid the flights I have booked, as I care about your fragile egos and your misplaced belief that past contributions to Continental are of an equal importance to those of us who provide a current stream of revenue. I will not take any joy whatsoever in trumping you. However, should you want to meet me and kneel before my shiny new piece of wallet candy, please notify me at your earliest convenience so I can edit my reservations on CO.com and decline the EUA that I am certain to get before you. I only ask that you make me your Plat companion so I at least have a chance at sitting up front.

^:D^

Good shot -- 2 shots ahead, this may be a good USA end.

This could be a 3-point end for the U.S. if China locates this rock poorly.

I've tried to watch. I've sat through two full matches. I just can't get into it. Enjoy it. The USA won't be getting any medals in that sport this winter.

I can enjoy competition without any semblance of championship implications.

The U.S. could go ballsy, take out their own guard and give themselves the chance for three.

Trustguy Feb 22, 2010 9:05 pm

Why didn't they (China) put rock in blue circle behind USA rock? That would have forced USA tactics?

But they're aiming for the Chinese pre-guard instead.

If the van is sufficiently beat up I think we'll do OK in terms of not being targets. I also think it is better than an SUV and we need something big to get six of us around town. :-:

I was kind of looking forward to a coastal traverse. However, if someone has to be pushed out of the van as a sacrifice, to cause a distraction whilst the rest of us escape, I call "not it."

Would have given the U.S. a rock to rest against - one more point. And bad choice by the U.S. on the succeeding shot.

U.S. has a "hail mary" chance for three on this shot.

sbm12 Feb 22, 2010 9:08 pm

Kingfisher is going to OneWorld. Sucks for CO folks in India. We're going to have to deal with Air India, assuming they get their act together, or just credit to another place (which is what I'll likely do).
