Now OLCI Errors in Inet Exploder, Intl itinerary

Well I had previously reported that OLCI with Netscape 7.X fails at the Infant question so I cannot use that since the web changes 3 weeks ago. The only saving grace was using Inet Exploder 6.x whihc did work....until tonight.

Flying CLE-IAH-CCS on Sunday OLCI worked great, even got the infamous email telling me to.

Tomorrow Flying CCS-IAH-CLE I tried to OLCI (for a EUA possibility) and now Inet exploder errors out at the Update Customs Information page. My Customs info has ben in there for years. The only error message I see is in the lower left corner of Inet Exploder, it quickly says "Error in page".

This is really discouraging since with this and netscape not working I can't rely on CO to allow me OLCI anytime, and since were into the 24 hour mark this probably ruins any chance of a EUA for this Plat elite...Thanks CO.

Please fix this ASAP.

Poor Message when Canceling a held ticket

Called CO reservations yesterday as I was purchasing tickets while I was transiting. I had the tickets "held" but not purchased.

This afternoon I then decided to cancel the ticket. Logged into myaccount I selected the cancel button which worked as expected.

However co.com responded with the following message after canceling it:

The value will be credited towards a future flight purchase. Please note the confirmation number above and return to this cancelled reservation in Manage Reservations to make changes for a future trip.

It even displayed the $682 value like it was a refund/credit, but I had never purchased the ticket. I called the Plat line and after checking they did say that I had never purchased anything and that this was a Generic Message that is displayed.

Suggestion: It would nice if this message could be enhanced when canceling "held" tickets.

Is the date 01/01/0001 causing this snafu?

I logged in again and it then worked, but it gave me a screen describing the OP account rules and a continue button. Selecting continue it showed my current account properly except it displayed that I have 0 OP miles, but Activity since my last statement properly displayed the 20k in miles I earned over the past 1.5 weeks.

I logged out and then back in then it was displaying the 500+k of miles I have and everything was back to normal.

Very Strange.

Had this happen again today. I am completely logged in but showing 0 miles as of 01/01/0001 which may have something to do with it.

It also says I am a non-elite....If it matters I had been searching the site for Travel Club information and had just read the T&C for it before heading to My Account.

Oddly the My Account page does show my mileage/status correctly. Looking on the right side of the screen the One Pass Activity says No Recent Activity, clicking on All Activity Since my Last Statement is where it then displays the 0 OP miles.

Edited to add: Clicking view last statement from the All Activity screen shows me activity from 1/29/2007-2/25/2007. It also will not allow me to see or select 3/2007s activity, its liek the system thinks its 2/25/2007.

Who Matt Kostelick and why did CO.com email his itinerary?

I must have a black cloud over my head....

Here I am typing the previous post and I get an Trip Alert email from CO....

Your Continental codeshare flight number has changed. Go to continental.com to view your reservation. Check in for your flight with the operating carrier.

Confused (since I have only one codeshare scheduled in 3 weeks on Czech Airlines) I searched CO for the confirmation number....it told me the Pax name was incorrect. I then searched all 12000 emails from the past 60 days that I have and no confirmation number matches....Plat line to the rescue?

Calling them they asked me if I knew a person named Matt Kostelick? No I do not...well it is his itinerary I am told?

COInsider: Would you like a copy of the email or confirmation number?

This reservation is Cancelled and being processed for a Refund.

Have a reservation IAH to LGW in August in BF (R). Because of booking problem had to call online help. Now reservation is marked This reservation is Cancelled and being processed for a Refund. but Support desk says booking is OK. Has been like this for 4 weeks. is it a bug? I don't want to lose ticket or reservation especially at price I paid.

When I enter the CO Travel Club 5% off code into the "promotional offers" field and attempt to price an itinerary, I get an error message that instructs me to use a valid promotion code. I have to open the Travel Club email, click on the "book now" link, enter my itinerary, and sign into my account in order to make the itinerary price with the discount.

Told by co.com tech support that a big update is being run at 11pm on 4/14/07 and will run for 2-3 hours. This update should fix 120 or so issues - many reported here.

Same-day turns, "no fare found" (nearby dates)

Alternative date/fare display lacks same-day turns.

eg: ewr-ord - one might be planning a one-day business trip which could be on one of several days, based on the cost. All same-day turns show, "no fare found."

Changes flights - broken after taking outbound flight

Visiting the "change flights" page after completing at least one leg (I assume), one is presented with the option of changing the already-taken flight. Also, if you choose only an unflown segment, you get an error - sometimes when proceeding to search for a replacement flight segment, sometimes when selecting a flight segment. I believe that whether you're searching on the day of one of the original flight segments makes the difference, but I'm not sure.

Hmmm.... or perhaps look for some opportunities on 4/14?

CLEHillbilly Apr 11, 2007 9:56 am

Did 4/14 come early as in today?

New problem...I am at a starbucks in the middle of transit trying to change a flight itinerary I started 2 days ago (CLE-ORD, MDW-CLE). I went to CO.com and selected "change flights" from my account.

I then got a screen I have not seen before...it asks me What my Fare Preference is for the change (lowest most restrictions, lowest refundable, or Full fare), the radio button for lowest is selected by default. Hitting the search button then it replies to me with the same screen and an error message "Please select at least one segment for the exchange". No segments are shown, just the 3 radio buttons listed above?

Seat Assignments don't stick/can't be made... if intervening partner flight...

Or maybe it was something else... but I had an itinerary disappear for a while today (there was a minor schedule change, same flight #'s). Once back, all the seat assignments on flights after a partner flight were gone. When I tried to reinstate them, they would not stick. co.com support was able to get them to stick (after getting the itinerary back).

Also, when I first went in, all 4 seats (4 people on pnr) were gold (none deep blue), and one seat was different than shown in the itinerary. When I put it back it said the seat was already assigned, and everything switched to dark blue. The CSR (I was still on at this point) said that that pax was actually in the correct seat, which was why it said the seat was already taken).

Was today the new release of co.com?

fozz Apr 11, 2007 2:05 pm

I just had a reservation ticketed for London next week. Added myself to the waitlist for the upgrade and was able to pull up the res. Now I go back to co.com and can't pull it up at all. I called the support desk and they said it's a known issue, but my sending me a receipt it should fix it. They sent me a receipt, and still nothing.

Kind of annoying.

non-functional online UG system

A link at the top of my CO itinerary says "upgrade reservation using miles." I click on the link, and it shows two out of four segments listed as "upgrade available" and have a box to check if you want to upgrade that segment. But I can't get past this screen, no matter what combinations of the two boxes I check (i.e. only first segment, only last segment, both first and last segment). The website acts like it's processing the information but then just returns to the same page.

theblakefish Apr 12, 2007 10:44 am

A multi-segment itinerary that has been booked and ticketed - I cannot access my information. It says "we cannot retreive the latest information for this itenerary." CSR's say that my ticket is there, but it just isn't showing up online.

There are no premium seats for OLCI. Everything opens at the 24 hour mark.

Searching for reward and purchased tickets from SAN to GLA on March 7, 2008 returning on the 15th. Any combination of dates in March gives following response:
Continental or its partners serve these cities but do not publish schedules or fares between them. It may be possible to construct an itinerary using two separate fares by calling 1-800-300-1547.
Using Safari.

If the big update was run on Sat night 4/14/07 - I am stilling getting this message when trying to "VIEW" a reservation.

"We were unable to review the latest information for this itinerary."

Date corrected - Sat 4/14/07. By the way the agent told me LOTS of people were calling about the problem. I suspect they even added extra agents - since on one call I got a stupid agent when I asked to separate a two person reservation - asking me - why would you want to do that - duh!

I checked my wife in for her flight this evening. When I did so I moved her from 6C to 5D. The boarding pass shows 5D. I subsequently used the "Change or View Reservations -- view/change seats" button (next to the reservation (from the main web site page when logged in) and it shows the seat as 6C, with 5D occupied. I realize I can not change the seat from this screen, but shouldn't the correct one be displayed? Of course, going back to the online checkin tool it shows the seat as 5D with 6C empty. Clearly something is not being updated properly.

I just encountered the same issue-at checkin I moved from 7D to 5D and printed the BP.
Checking on it later showed the original seat assignment, not the new one.

BTW-as of now,I've been lucky with Plat upgrades, but the good luck seems to have run out tomorrow.

Bug with other people's reservations I book

I’m the family travel agent and book stuff for my wife and kids regularly.

Their reservations show up in the current reservations section of the My Account page UNTIL their first segment departs. At this point, they show up under the “All Saved Reservations" link on the My Account page (which takes you to the Home > Manage Reservations page). The problem is at this point is that instead of the usual View Reservation link the only link under the itinerary is “Purchase Now”.

I can log in with their OnePass and pin and see the in progress itinerary correctly.

I’m not sure what CO.com is supposed to do, but I doubt it’s this.

IMHO it would be nice to access stuff I booked for others from my account for reasons like making sure I remember what time to pick the Mrs. Up from the airport.

cova Apr 17, 2007 8:10 pm

CO did run the big update last Sat night - it did fix many things - but I still was showing the message in a managed reservation:

"We were unable to review the latest information for this itinerary."

However this time the tech support agent could fix the problem manually and now my reservation "VIEWS" as it should. Something about a comment line.

The net is many items fixed, some problems can occur from different ways, but CO is activity working to fix the remaining items or paths to items.

I am encouraged that things are getting fixed and thanks to CO and its IT team working on these issues.

Major Issues Persist...

Does anyone else find it exceedingly odd how CO.com continues to have pretty basic, major flaws even MONTHS after it's disastrous launch?

I just tried to book a reward reservation using AMEX points. Aside from the random screens that came up blank or oddly-populated throughout the process... the site kept insisting that I transfer 1,000 less AMEX points than I needed to complete the reservation and buy the rest from CO. When I called CO support, they were useless... they just kept telling me to transfer the full amount of AMEX points if that's what I wanted to do... and didn't "get" that THEIR WEB SITE WOULDN'T LET ME DO SO!

Finally, when we discovered a work-around (after 20 min of trying to explain the problem), I was able to transfer the points from AMEX and complete the purchase... but then I got an error message on the confirmation screen that said my AMEX transfer was incomplete! When I called both AMEX and CO to see what the problem was, CO wouldn't even talk to me (kept blaming AMEX) and AMEX didn't have a clue what I was talking about (saying it was CO's problem if it happened at CO.com).

These kinds of technical "glitches" are inexcusable at this point. Of all things NOT to invest serious time testing and re-testing, their main sales tool?? I don't get it.

CLEHillbilly Apr 22, 2007 4:11 am

In the past 3 weeks I have taken 2 Intl trips (CCS and PRG), both times I have not been able to OLCI because of the www site or something else (unknown problems).

Is anyone else having problems with OLCI and Intl reservations recently, or is it as usual....just me?

FWIW I have had my passport info entered on CO.com for more than a year or two. Yes CCS required a Visa but this did not seem to be a factor. Last night heading to PRG even the CLE GA couldnt figure out why my reservation needed assistance at the kiosk, I ended up being #195 for Checkin when I should have been #1-10 as I tried to OLCI at the exact 24 hour mark.

Thanks though to CO...I guess I picked the right flights....EWR-BRU was heavily oversold and I got an opup....It was sweet as I crossed the 70k EQM mark..:)

Not that its much to tell but the CLE-EWR flight was also oversold, including FC. They needed seats and during boarding I noticed a FAM in the FC 735 cabin....tisk tisk...bumping paying pax on my tax dollars....Let alone the fact it hindered any chance of an EUA.

Reward Flight Search

I was doing a reward flight search for Birmingham, AL to LIS. I guessed at the Birmingham, AL airport code as BMG and was presented with an error message that says CO does not serve BMG (Bloomington, IN). I then entered "Birmingham, AL" and CO.com asked me to clarify Birmingham, AL or Birmingham, UK...no problem (even though it ignored the Alabama part), I selected BHM (Birmingham, AL). It then returns me to the flight screen but displays "One pass elite members may receive better search results if signed in". Once again no problem I click the highlighted Sign In text and CO.com logs me in. CO.COM then returns me to the search results screen reporting that Bloomington, IN is not served by it or any of its partners. I am back to square one and have to now re-enter all of the BMH information again.

Not a big deal...but aggravating.

No Notification of Sched Change - Ruins Itin!

Flying MDT-CLE-MCO-CLE-MDT this weekend. MDT-CLE leg is changed, resulting in a 5 minute connection time to hit CLE-MCO leg. Obviously won't happen, and might even get canceled by CO, I assume (min connect time restriction).

I got absolutely no notification of this. The only way I noticed: I happened to be looking at my one-pass account summary page, and saw a trip with the description: "4/27/2007 Flight: Harrisburg, PA (MDT) to Cleveland, OH (CLE)". I was confused by this because I'm pretty sure I'm not flying to CLE for a while. So I clicked on the details, and that's when I saw the schedule change in red letters.

(Needless to say, I am not happy.)

So, couple issues:
1) I didn't get notified of this. I would have showed up at the airport to find that my itin is canceled (or at least I would have to have the GA cancel it).
2) The account summary page shows the incorrect destination in this case. While this was great because it made me investigate, it certainly isn't the best way to handle this scenario.

Can give the confirmation number if needed.

Seat map (reserve):

This is really odd...

Looked up flights on a round trip (ewr-las). Wanted to see current seat map & judge whether I should rush to check in for an exit row.

So, I click "view seats" on the return flight. Everything is good. Click the outbound. The return flight tab changes into a connecting flight (via cle 23:15).

Search: ewr-las 4/26-4/29. Picked the 17:20 flight out and 14:10 back. I reproduced this on both i.e 7 and firefox, both logged in and not.

Seat map problem with CSA-CO codeshare

Flew CLE-EWR-BRU-PRG(with CSA) on Saturday.

Miles posted from CSA within a day, CO's posetd 2 days later....

Go to OLCI this morning for the return (PRG-BRU-EWR-CLE) and CO reports that I cannot checkin for a codeshare flight that starts with a CSA flight. Aggravated since I have no chance now of any EUA I accept that fact.

However looking at the reservation under my account to see my seat assignments it is still listing the outbound flight in my account, obviously that is wrong but I will overlook that detail too.

Looking at the return flights seatmap though is a problem/bug. It does show me the return flights seatmap, but in the little box labeled "seat summary by flight" the seats are offset by one flight. For PRG-BRU (via CSA) it shows me my seat assignment for COs BRU-EWR flight, for the BRU-EWR flight it shows me my EWR-CLE seat assignment. For EWR-CLE's seat assignment it shows me nothing.

The PRG-BRU seat assignment should have shown a "-" character.

A minor issue, but looking at the bigger picture CO please fix these Intl OLCI problems...they are aggravating for us that do mainly intl travel with you and your partners.

Edited to add: Looking at the flight times in View Current reservation that shows my already flown Saturday flight...CLE-EWR shows no flight time....EWR-BRU shows 0 Minutes....BRU-PRG shows no flight time...Total flight time displays 3 hours 23 minutes....

PDA Checkin - boarding pass email Outlook only?

Ok - I checked in on my PDA today... worked great (except for the previously reported 1 minute bug).

I elected to receive the boarding passes via email. I was able to see them in Acrobat moments later on my WM6 PDA.

I did notice that on my Blackberry, the only attachment was a large winmail.dat file.

Back home, I saw that this was true in Thunderbird as well. Seems you can only access the boarding passes using Outlook!

Given that I'd email the boarding passes when printing is difficult, I'd guess that people often use gmail, yahoo or other accounts to access and print. Shouldn't be outlook only (assuming that I didn't stumble upon something else).

rlbmorton Apr 26, 2007 2:59 am

I have an upcoming trip to LAX were I am on standby for an upgrade with miles on the outbound flight. I'd like to use the change flights feature to change the return flight. However, the standby for the outbound flight is in the listing for the section for the return. That is, when I select the day for the return and then try to change flights the webpage restricts me to looking for reward flights only and wants to change both the return flights and the standby portion for the outbound simultaneously (it thinks I'm looking for flights from LAX to LAX). It looks like I have to cancel the standby for the outbound in order to be able to change the return flight online.

rlbmorton Apr 26, 2007 3:43 am

On an upcoming flight on codeshare on NW metal I got a seat assignment through NW's webpage in 9A, but CO webpage shows my seat assignment as 20D (the original assignment given me by the computer).

Just booked a flight. Confirmed first on the way down; Y-UP'd on the way back. The Y-UP looks like this when I click 'View' from manage reservations (abbreviated):

Depart: 12:15 p.m. Orlando, FL (MCO)
Arrive: 2:42 p.m. Cleveland, OH (CLE)
OnePass Miles/Elite Qualification: 895 /0%
Flight: CO1870

From what I can tell based on a search of FT, it should be 150% EQM and certainly not 0%.
