What are the best seats to choose on a CRJ-200? Are the emergency exit rows good to go with? I hear they do not provide too much extra legroom. Does row 1 have a cutout in the bulkhead for stowage? Thanks.

Flying in BF on a 777 with my wife and have 2 options: 1D/E (seatguru seems to imply these seats don't exist, what gives?) or 8K/L.

Any recommendations?

Personally, I like D/E when I'm traveling alone, so nobody has to ask me to move, or I don't have to ask anyone else to move.

But if I'm traveling with someone I know, I'd prefer seats to the sides so I at least have a window view.

And I prefer anything in row 2 - 5, as opposed to the second BF cabin.

SeatGuru's CO772 map has been wrong for several weeks now.

I'd take 1 over 8.

True, but it seems like 8K/L not only have the window view but a lovely lavatory view...

I selected 1D/E, but I'm still debating whether to go with 8K/L...

I would always go with anything in the front section every time.

764 - ? on Differences btwn SeatGuru & Seat Expert

ok my searches have not cleared up the question i have regarding BF seats on CO 50 CDG-EWR.

SeatGuru says Row 6 is preferable 'cause it gets more personal attention

Seat Expert says that the Rows 1-4 are better due to first choice of meal.

For those who have flown this equip/route which do you prefer?

I'm traveling solo and right now have 2K

Other choices are 3,4,5 or 6D.

btw, 2L is still empty (travel is early Nov) if that changes the equation

any insights appreciated

6D hands down...especially if you are traveling alone. Typically the cabin is served by two different galleys. Rows 1-5 by the front and 6-7 by the back. Also the ISM helps with the service for rows 6-7 so you get more personal service because there are fewer of you to serve and the ISM helps out which makes it even better.

On the 772's, I have a choice between 16C, 31A, 31B, and 31C (as well as numerous other seats including 44ABJK) but seatguru implies these are the best ones. Any particular one I should take? In the meantime, I've taken 16C, but should I switch to an aisle seat in 31? I'm flying solo...

I have a similar question:

Which is better: Row 16A/L or row 31 A/L?
Does anyone have any idea what the pitch is for either?
Is there any reason to pick the A-side over the L-Side?

Thanks

Several planes feature first class seats that don't recline much because of the economy class bulkhead immediately behind the chair. It would neat to identify those somewhere.

Here are 2 photos showing the transition between BF and Economy.

The first one shows the bulkhead panel - not sure if there is a cut-out down below:

The second shows that the back of lie-flats still have the footrest and accessory shelf, only the monitor is removed:

If only the panel was cut-out near the floor, then the first Econ row would have a sweet ride.

Best 772 Back of Plane Seating ?

Seatguru shows 41A & 41L as desireable due to curvature of plane. Do these seats angle away from their partner seats, and is there any extra shoulder room because of this? Anyone fly in these seats?

Seatguru also discourages the last row two-somes 44AB & 44KL. Does anyone know if the window seats have extra side room, along with the aisle seats because of extra space from missing seat?

... Or will I be happier in my usual rows 20-22 center section aisle?

Cheers

Sorry to bump an old thread, but...

All questions refer to the 772...
First of all, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming that 32A and 32L are the same (just mirror seats) and the same goes for 32C and 32J?
Next, I have a choice between 32J and 32L. Which is better? To expound on myself, I prefer ideally a window seat because I like looking out the window and leaning on it to sleep. However, because I don't like climbing over people, and I like to get up and stretch a bit on long flights, I take the aisle instead. For 32L, is there a decent window, or do I have to strain to look out? Is legroom impeded by the door? Is it comfortable to lean (or at least as comfortable as any standard window seat)?

Thanks!

I flew 32L back from HKG last month.

For legroom it's OK, as the encroachment of the slide at the emergency exit is far enough in front of you that you can stretch out.

Seat width is a problem. Tightest CO seats I have ever flown (and I don't think I ate that much dim sum in HKG!). Width reduced because of tray tables and video in armrest. Lucky for me, middle seat was empty - my left shoulder literally spilled halfway over into the middle seat.

Window is also mis-aligned. It's farther back than usual, so you have to stretch a bit to see out, and my right shoulder could not use the window well - I was compressed by the cabin wall.

I would still choose this over a normal seat, but only because the middle was free.
