Purpotedly illegal connection... how CO-like. One can call CO Reservations and ask for the Minimum Connection Time at IAH for a domestic to domestic online connection.

If times are flexible, I'd suggest ALB-EWR-SLC instead. Otherwise, I'd look into fares/schedules on other carriers. I highly doubt CO reservations would reroute to DL for a schedule change like this.

I think that keithguy is right...CO likely won't go for my idea. Try searching the timetable...an 8:15 AM departure ALB-BUF-CVG-SLC (arriving 2:02 PM) comes up. A 30-minute connection in BUF is not an issue...looks like the arrival/departure gates for your flights would be next to each other..
