There is no typical, globally. However, there is based on route and status. I'm flying a lot of AUS-IAH-SFO/OAK/SJC (and returns) on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays What does that mean? It means I don't usually get upgraded, even as a Plat flying H. It means that when they board 'Elite Access', half the plane queue's-up...


Orlando is tourist heavy which means there are often fewer elites and hence more upgrades...typical for that routing.
