Is this routing valid for award?
Hi all. I'd like to usr some OnePass miles for the following flights--is this combo allowed?
Outbound: NYC - ATL - Mexico (on DL with 1 connection in ATL)
Return: Mexico - ATL (on DL) then connect to ATL - EWR (on CO)
Should be 35K miles roundtrip.
DL has no award seats from ATL-NYC on my return date.
Thanks.

Yes. and Either DL or CO should be able to book it, assuming seats are available. If only the ATL-NYC segment is not available on the DL routing, ask them to check on their partners for seats. You can fly ATL-DCA-LGA on DL, ATL-EWR on CO, ATL-JFK/EWR/LGA on DL, ATL-MEM/DTW/MSP-NYC on NW, ATL-CLE-NYC on CO, etc.
They only offer/check the easy ones by default; you have to push them to check other options. And if DL says no-go, you can ask CO to check the same routings, including using DL on the outbound (or maybe CO, assuming it is a destination that CO flies to).
S.
