Value Pack from Chase?

The letter which came with my new Chase/Continental WorldMastercard mentions their "exclusive Value Pack". Does anyone know what is in this pack and when is it supposed to be mailed out?

I am reluctant to play Chase customer service roulette to try to get correct answers. About a year ago I had cancelled my Worldcard when promised benefits failed to materialize & Chase reps kept passing the buck without giving me any answers.

Call Chase at 1-866-386-5885 ... they seem to have a clue.

Is there anything in it that makes the phone calls worth it?

The expression "When hell freezes over" is a reality with chase. Hundreds of us on these boards have cancelled our cards do to this. They never send it

Ok, I never received a "value pack" with my card, so I took another look at the welcome letter. Here's the paragraph:

"Enjoy your special travel package available only to Continental Airlines World MasterCard Cardmembers. Our exclusive Value Pack provides you with a one-time $99 compainion certificate after you spend $5,000 in purchases (omitting some repetitous drivel here) And you'll receive 2 Presidents Club passes and 2 travel discount certicates each year upon renewal."

Has anyone who's had the card awhile receive any of these?

Yup, DW and I have received ours on time each year we have had our Worldcards. Never had to make a phone call.

Must Spend $5,000 Before You Receive Companion Ticket

Just got off the phone with a Chase supervisor. After 10 minutes on hold, I was told that I must spend $5,000 before I can receive the $99 companion certificate.

Edited to add:

I see the new limitation in the terms and conditions. The old terms from last year said: "$99 Companion Certificate on your six-month anniversary as a cardmember...."

Does anyone know when the conditions for the $99 companion certificate were changed?

According to the T&C, the $99 is severely restricted, the $off is a maximum of $20 from EWR. Probably IAH as well... didn't keep reading once I saw the $20 from EWR limitation. The $$ for a prestige pack is far better spent than the $85/year + 5k spend on the Chase card. The Prestige pack coupons are usable and worthwhile.

Unhappy Value Pack

According to the Chase CSR I just spoke with, the so-called Value Pack contains a discount travel certificate (only worth $20 at CO hubs) and 2 PC passes (good for a single person entry).
Expect to receive it within two months following your Worldcard's anniversary (in other words after you've been billed the $85 for the second year's annual fee).

I agree that the CO Prestige Pack is by far a much better deal!
